This is one of the best independent bookstores I've ever visited. The owner is a fireball. The classes, the booksignings, the book clubs and the special events including weekend conferences are fabulous. She does a top rate job in running this store. And that does not even include the work she does running The Poisoned Pen Press where she publishes mysteries. Her authors have won many an award and she is well respected in her field. A must for budding authors as well as mystery fans. It's growing so fast that she just opened a second store.

Dr. Daniel Hurley is a great Ear/Nose/Throat doc. He is very good with children and makes them feel at ease. His office was able to get us in with very little wait and was able to schedule surgery almost immediately.
Dr. Hurley took out my son's tonsils/adenoids and cauterized his nose. He did a wonderful job. My son was nervous so the doc carried him into surgery. He also took a picture with us to help commemorate the big event.
Dr. Hurley is definitely a must see if you are have pediatric ear/nose/throat problems.

I recently went to Jverve and purchased a day spa package - it included a massage, a facial, manicure and pedicure. When you walk in, it is a busy hair salon. The spa services are offered in the back. The massage was great. It was given by a gentleman (sorry, I can't remember his name) but he is a chiropractor too. He really knew what he was doing. The facial was good, the lady was very friendly. Manicure and pedicure was also wonderful. The lady who did my pedicure was very creative - she used gold glitter on the toes - it looked great. I would definitely recommend this day spa - services were great, atmosphere was just so so. But the friendly staff made up for it.

Note the pun of my title - a perfect 10. Yes - this salon does a perfect job on every nail. I am so happy with the manicures that they give. I highly recommend them because they are so wonderful.
Also if you are looking to save money, note that they often send out coupons in the mail for this salon.

I am one of those who hates cutting checks or giving cash to family and when I am not sure about what gift to buy for family members, I think Gift Certificates could end up being the best bet to buy.There are so many options to buy from (Movies, Clothes, Online Amazon) If you are still not sure what GC to buy, I had rather give them a Visa Gift card instead of cash. Visa adds fee for the gift card but heck, A little effort doesnot hurt.

My favorite place for lunch is Paradise Bakery. They are a little pricey, but it's so worth it. My favorite thing to order is the 1/2 sandwich and the small mixed green salad. The salad is quite large and they customize it according to your preferences. This combo meal also comes with one of their amazing chocolate chip cookies.
Their muffins are exceptional and are great for catering office breakfast meetings.
The snickerdoodle cookies melt in your mouth. They are better than homemade!
Paradise Bakery has locations all over the Valley, and in other states as well. I recently found one in Boulder, Colorado.
