Horrible Service - Gift of Food Poison! - lmerritt - Today This restaurant was absolutley the worst restaurant I have been to in quite some time. My family and I ordered a simple pepporoni pizza and speghetti and meatballs. After waiting nearly an hour for our food (throughout that time our waitress stopped by our table to apologize and to let us know that she continues to check on our food), our waitress finally realized that our ticket never got to the cooks and she would need to take our order once again! She assured us that our food would be done in 15 minutes and would give us a mere 20% discount for the mistake (we were so hungry that we decided to wait - that was a mistake). The food was greasy and tasteless. The worst part is, my husband awoke at 3:30am with food poisoning (thank god my 4 year old didn't eat some meatballs)! He missed one day of his life because this restaurant can't have clean food, good meat, or cooked meat. They may have redecorated the dining area, but the kitchen isn't quite so pretty.

Probably one of the best subs i've had in a while...in fact i ordered another one because it was so good... Then i washed that down with an ice cold hefewiezen.... Pasta is great( i recomend the Riggotoni) pizza is really fresh and the cheese is GREAT! Bring a friend or bring the family, either way you will be coming back for more!

This was never a really good food place but it was edible. After 8 years of living in Santee with limited restaurants I would pick up some quick meals. Recently I called and ordered rigatoni's and meatballs and a lasagna dinner. I specifically clarified my order when the person who took the order read it back. I pick up the food, get home to find some tubular pasta with red sauce and crumbled beef that was runny water. I called the restaurant and said I must have a received a wrong order and there was complete silence. I asked for a manager and a woman gets on the phone and she is more insulted that I even bothered calling. Bottom line, my problem though she offered to give me a 20% discount on the next order. There will never be another order. Don't waste your time; food's not that good to begin with and management doesn't frankly care what you end up.

Italia's has that animated, comfortable atmosphere of a mom-and-pop restaurant, the kind of place you can't find anymore. The food is fantastic, the salads are fresh, and the pasta/pizza is far better than simple fast-food pizza. Try it on my reccommendation!

Italia really has ok pizza. They have really good cheese, but they don't use much sauce. Lately they have been stingy with the cheese and the crust has been on the burnt side. There pasta is mediocre. They do have a really good week day lunch special with soup, salad, pasta and pizza.
