Babalu is one of my favorite places on the west side... the burger with tempura onion rings is off the hook. The desserts are amazing as well... like any other place on Montana things can get a little crowded, but the service here is great and i've been there at least 10x since they re-opened. prices are just fine too.
also, you can order off the menu and they will accommodate.
great people watching as well. very friendly staff.

After being closed for months from a kitchen fire, Babalu has reopened its doors, and its old regulars have flocked back for the tasty Caribbean-Asian-American dishes, including the specialty blue corn crab cakes. Service can be chaotic, especially during the lunch crunch, but the food, and especially the impressive desserts (produced in house), more than make up for waits Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
