I went to the pump station to get support when my pump wasn't working. They were helpful and friendly -- at least in person. When I called the woman was quite rude, gave me misinformation, and most importantly said that i could not bring in a pump I didn't buy there -- which is WRONG. It is kind of hard for them to help you determine what the problem is if you don’t have the pump!

Like its name, the Pump Station carries a variety of nursing items (including clothing) for expecting moms. In addition to the breast pumps, the store carries baby accessories such as toys, slings, etc, so it's a good place to shop if you're sick of the mass produced fare stocked by the baby superstores. Pump Station also offers childbirth education classes but sign up early, as the spaces fill quickly.

I went to the Pump station after I had to leave my daughter at the hospital when she was born. Recommended to me by my OB-GYN, I was able to rent an excellent, fast, electronic, get nursing gel pads and a natural nipple lotion to soothe and heal my cracked, sore nipples. I also picked up literature on how to breastfeed correctly. After that initial induction, I went there for breastfeeding support groups and special hard to find nursing and baby products.
The staff there is excellent and very knowledgeable, however it is pricey and difficult to find parking. But, the bottom line is, if you need some support as a parent, they are there to guide and provide you with lots of material. you can also look them up online at www.pumpstation.com. they are located on wilshire between 22nd and 23rd street.

This store specializes in breastfeeding supplies and education, but also carries a wide array of items for baby and mother care. This was the only store in the area in which I could find the Bravado nursing bra to try before buying. Parking is not easy, as this is Santa Monica, but the good inventory make up for that small hassle.
