On my recent trip to Santa Fe I stopped in to this quiet cafe. From the outside it looked like a bar, but when I entered I was pleasently suprised to find a family owned and operated restaurant. The food was extremly good, but also spicy. The chicken burrito smothered in green chile is the best. I highly recommend planning time to stop here and eat dinner.
Pros: fast, friendly, good food, value, parking

When I moved to Santa Fe a year ago, I thoroughly researched where I should go to get my very thick, very frizzy, unruly hair cut. I ended up at Wink and met a stylist named Edward. He was great. Very proessional and very experienced. He has since left Wink, and so I went to a new salon not far away. Well, it was the worst haircut I ever had, and I was deeply disappointed because their website makes it sound fabulous. I won't mention the name here, but you'll see my review of it if you scan other salons on this site. In the meantime, I called Wink for desperate help and was teamed up with a stylist named Angelo. I was very nervous, and I told him I had just had the worst cut ever. He sat me down and did his magic. He is the best! I love my new cut. I have gotten several compliments on it, some from strangers, and it has only been one day. I highly recommend Wink. I have had nothing but great haircuts from Wink. Thanks Angelo!! I'll be back in two weeks for color.
Pros: Convienent location, professional atmosphere
Cons: A little pricey, but worth it

My, this sure is a tasy place to eat! We have a pleasurable experience every time we dine in. The blond waitress with the glasses is delightful, and has a certain swish which livens up her section. Most delicious pastas, and across from the sprightly Cowgirl. Semper ubi sub ubi!

The atmosphere is cozy but classy, the service was great, the food was the best part of all! Order the elk, it's tender and not at all gamey. This restaurant was one of the best Santa Fe experiences I had on my vacation.
Pros: Wonderful food, classy ambience, good value

Everytime I come home to NM my friends and I go to the Pink Adobe. It is in a 300 year old adobe building, and has a quaint and cozy atmosphere. For something more casual, try the Dragon Room; great artwork, great clientele, and excellent food (the French Onion soup is a must try!).

If you are at all interested in the work of Georgia Okeefe, this is one place you simply must visit. The museum is named after Georgia, is home to many of her pieces, and offers a great short film about her life, they also offer works from other artists.
You can also pick up prints of her work - both those on display, and those not on display - in the gift shop. Santa Fe is known for its art, and it all pales in comparison to this.

While spending a summer in magical Santa Fe, there is one place that my roommate and I found ourselves going back to day after day. And this is not just because we lived close by. The Santa Fe Baking Co. made us feel right welcome from the beginning. The owner Eric knew us by name from the second time in, and the whole staff was always attentive, thoughtful, and fun. It is evident that we were not the only ones that felt this way, because the place was packed all the time (often with the same faces - always a good sign). The breakfast burrito was my favorite, but they make all sorts of other breakfast and lunch items with that great Southwestern flair. They also make delicious pastries, they even picked out a different cookie than the one we had picked out to make sure we were getting the best one there! They have a juice and smoothie bar as well, and, of course, coffee. The other thing we loved about going there was the true Santa Fe feeling you get there. All walks of life hang out there, and we never failed to have an interesting experience there.

I've grown up eating Japanese. I've moved from Alaska where the Japanese was great. I have seached Santa Fe for great Japanese restaurants. Izmi sushi was okay, but I greatly favor Kohnami. It's a nice, down to earth place, with great food. I still have a few places to try, but Kohnami is the best yet, I give it a 9 out of 10 on the account the appatizer beef was a little dry.
Pros: Great Japanese, Nice Feel Inside, Good People
Cons: Waiter was too busy, apatizer was dry
