If you are at all interested in the work of Georgia Okeefe, this is one place you simply must visit. The museum is named after Georgia, is home to many of her pieces, and offers a great short film about her life, they also offer works from other artists.
You can also pick up prints of her work - both those on display, and those not on display - in the gift shop. Santa Fe is known for its art, and it all pales in comparison to this.

While spending a summer in magical Santa Fe, there is one place that my roommate and I found ourselves going back to day after day. And this is not just because we lived close by. The Santa Fe Baking Co. made us feel right welcome from the beginning. The owner Eric knew us by name from the second time in, and the whole staff was always attentive, thoughtful, and fun. It is evident that we were not the only ones that felt this way, because the place was packed all the time (often with the same faces - always a good sign). The breakfast burrito was my favorite, but they make all sorts of other breakfast and lunch items with that great Southwestern flair. They also make delicious pastries, they even picked out a different cookie than the one we had picked out to make sure we were getting the best one there! They have a juice and smoothie bar as well, and, of course, coffee. The other thing we loved about going there was the true Santa Fe feeling you get there. All walks of life hang out there, and we never failed to have an interesting experience there.

We stayed here for three nights in April 2006. We were in the A building and had a newly refurbished room. This place offer free internet use via two computers in the lobby. They also offer a good continetal breakfast free as well. Staff was friendly. This is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the plaza. Lots of parking. Also, they are just a short block from Whole Food so you can pick up snacks and meals. I would definately recommend this place if you want to visit Santa Fe, but don't want to blow all your money on your room. We booked through hotwire.com and got a heck of a deal!

We had dinner last night at Geronimo - it was spectacular. We hadn't eaten there in five years, but remembered it fondly and had high expectations for it. It lived up to them. The restaurant was super comfy, the service was A+, and the food was great. The menu was complex and fascinating and they let us mix and match at will. I'm about to run a marathon so I'm eating carefully - they did a custom veggie plate for me. Dessert was awesome - a shot of chocolate and a piece of chocolate cake (no - I didn't eat it myself - we shared.) It was an almost perfect three hour meal with the backdrop of Santa Fe.

This cafe full of colorful folk art is a comfortable as it is the very best food we had in Santa Fe, however the address is 125 lincoln ave. I had a red chile pumpkin soup and a turkey cranberry sandwich both were the best. My friend had the chicken pot pie also the best.
The specials all sounded great and we had a hard time choosing. Everyone around us was complementing their food to the very attentive wait person. We will tell everyone about this courtyard cafe.

I'm a mom so I have to admit, I've never really looked at the rest of the shop. What I love is the good quality toys. If you want a good quality western toy while shopping Santa Fe, this is the place to go. And even if you just want some great goodies. The layout is both kid friendly and appealing. Apple baskets arranged at various levels tempt you to inspect each one. I especially liked the wind up music box, minus the box. My son wanted the stick horse that whinnied.

More
The Loretto Chapel is by far the most romantic wedding chapel in Santa Fe. It's non-denominational and can accomodate all kinds of ceremonies.
It is also the home of the "miraculous staircase" built by a mysterious carpenter who fled Santa Fe before receiving payment for building this spiral staircase which defies the normal laws of physics and has no visible means of support.
The chapel is a peaceful place that you can go to for a bit of spiritual contemplation.
