We stayed here for three nights in April 2006. We were in the A building and had a newly refurbished room. This place offer free internet use via two computers in the lobby. They also offer a good continetal breakfast free as well. Staff was friendly. This is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the plaza. Lots of parking. Also, they are just a short block from Whole Food so you can pick up snacks and meals. I would definately recommend this place if you want to visit Santa Fe, but don't want to blow all your money on your room. We booked through hotwire.com and got a heck of a deal!

More
Old House Restaurant & Tavern is located in the beautiful pueblo-themed city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The restaurant is operated (from 5:30PM to 10:00PM) inside the upscale Eldorado Hotel ($215-$1500/room for 2 people, according to AAA) and it is recommended, although not required, that diners dress in a business casual attire. The limited items on the menu, individually, range anywhere from $12-$30 or the sampler, which consists of a 5 course meal, can be ordered for $50 (or $80 with wine).
Personally, I was not happy with this restaurant for several reasons.
1. The prices were outrageous but I suppose that's expected.
2. Even though the food tasted GREAT, the portions were tiny. Needless to say, everyone in my party were hungry after throwing down $30 each for our dinner platter.
3. According to AAA, this restaurant served Southwestern cuisine AND it accepted the AAA discount. We were informed that the menu changes regularly and the day that we dined, there were little to no Southwestern items on the menu. After our meal, we were also told that they no longer accepted the AAA discount.
4. Customers are paying for the ambiance and the experience, not the food itself (even though the food is prepared by a group of "renown chefs").
This restaurant is recommended for dinners with business associates but I would highly not recommend this restaurant for the entire family for the reasons mentioned above.

Sunrise Springs is a great spa and resort. It is located in the small village of La Cienega which is about 15/20 min. outside of Santa Fe. Because of its location it is very peaceful and solitary. It's a great place for a relaxing vacation or weekend, however if you're looking for a calm spa in the middle of hip and happening place this is not it. There is seriously nothing round for miles. There is a great restaurant and tons of great services such as messages, facials, scrubs etc. etc. There are also wonderful hot tubs and great casita like rooms. Great place to stay or just go have a meal at. The restaurant is great!

A friend recommended we stay at the Inn on the Alameda for its close proximity to everything. We loved the place. It's not too big and the staff was attentive. It truly is centrally located to shopping, restaurants and galleries. Santa Fe is a fun town and I would surely encourage anyone to stay here as we had a wonderful experience.

Had a great weekend stay at the Hacienda. The rooms were huge, wonderfully decorated in local art,and the new beds were awesome.Enjoyed the comp breakfast on the patio every morning.Lots of food and great tasting.I think the Hacienda rooms are much nice than the hotel's.Didnt use the butler much but it was a nice touch.Only neg was it took a while to check in since our room wasnt ready.Front desk staff at this point was not as attentive to us as should have, like offering to store our bags.Would stay here again though.
Pros: rooms, beds, breakfast
Cons: location

The spa is excellent - great treatment packages and very friendly staff. The locker rooms and treatment rooms are clean and spacious. The lounge areas are very comfortable. The overall resort setting is very pretty and relaxing.
The bar in Staab House is also fantastic - the setting is rustic, but doesn't feel old. Check out the artwork hanging around the space.
