This is one of the most unique shops for plants and botanicals that thrive in Northern New Mexico. They have an eclectic mix of gardening gifts and home decor. They coined the phrase Santa F'Asian because of their focus on asian influenced garden elements and plants. Tropic of Capricorn specializes in ornamental garden supplies, orchids, cacti, and xeriscape plants, trees and ground cover. The store itself is an experience. It is a beautiful place to go to see examples of the best of landscape design. Michael Clark, the owner, offers landscaping design services and can help with advice on plant care. He offers free weekly classes on garden care and many subjects related to planting and gardening in Santa Fe. One person I know said "This is absolutely the best place to purchase gifts for anyone with a discerning eye and excellent taste".
