My husband and I love to eat at this restaurant whenever we are in Santa Fe. Their service is always A+ and the food is always so good. Even if there is a wait to get in, it never takes as long as they say. Their margaritas are the best I have ever had. The price is always right, not very expensive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I've been to Tomasitas more times than I can count and I've never been disappointed!
The food is outstanding! Very flavorful and spicy (although you can request mild salsas/chilies). The portions are good sized and they serve you sopapillas with every meal.
The service is always wonderful. Very friendly and very fast and usually bilingual.
The atmosphere is perfect. It's like being inside a beautifully decorated pueblo.
There is also a great bar and a separate room for private parties.
Definitely a must visit if in Santa Fe!!

My wife and I are thinking about relocating from San Francisco to Santa Fe just to be closer to this restaurant. Just like one of the other reviewer's said, the wait staff are pleasant (but not exceptional), the ambience isn't notable, but the food is extraordinary. The house chili is the best we've ever had -- especially the green chili. And the sopasillas are an out-of-body experience. You might have to wait for a table here, but your tummy will thank you!
Pros: The food, the food, and the food -- and what great value for such fabulous food
Cons: Not big on ambience

Being from NM, I have had the opportunity to try scores of New Mexican restaurants, but Tomasitas is still far and away my favorite. This place is always packed, but once you get a seat, your food comes quickly. The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is great any night of the week. Try the red chile burrito or the stuffed sopapilla.

Everyone in town recommended Tomasita's and now I know why. The room is nothing special, the people are nothing special, but the food is out of this world. The menu is standard fare, but what comes out is amazing. We ate at the Coyote Cafe, Shohko's, Pasqual's, and a hand full of other places in Sant Fe, but found that when it came to food, Tomasita's was hands down the best around. Locals and tourist alike flock to this place and it is well worth the wait.
