Our family has been visiting Santa Fe for over 38 years. We love Tin-Nee-Ann's. When we had young children we could afford to take them in the store and felt welcome. They are always ready to teach and share their knowledge about stone, jewlery and native american art. They as so very patient. They will tell you that they think everything is authentic but look carefully because even they can be fulled. They have the junk for the children and art pieces out of this world. I had an old cross that I had never been able to wear because I could not find a chain that would work with it. There silver smith aka. "Spider Lady" (she loves spiders) helped me make a choice that I have since realized was very authentic. It was a piece my mother had bought 5o years before and was special to me. The chain was less than $30 dollars but I could have been spending $3000 for the care they gave me. They have trays and trays of rings, slide and earrings. I have spent hours looking. Might get 5 or 6 pairs. They get tired but are absolutely always kind and supportive. This review is late in coming but well deserved.

Plan on having a good chunk of time to explore this place. It is a complex of buildings and outdoor area with all kinds of stuff from around the world. I guess the overall general theme could be called native or primitive style. Just a few examples: weavings, woodcarvings, pottery from Mexico, old looking rugs and furniture from Asia, large outdoor planters and decorations, jewelry, carved goards from Peru, weavings and textiles from Latin America. Go check it out!

It used to be a good place to shop for coffee. But for the last quarter of 2007, stock has been lacking at the Albuquerque and Santa Fe stores. Specifically, the large bags of French/Italian roast beans, both caf /decaf have been nearly impossible to find. Very often, even the small bags of ground French/Italina, caf/decaf are out of stock. They used to have a large stock of very good coffee at a good price, but the constant failure and the gasoline to drive there has begun to offset the price and quality. Starbucks is higher priced, and not as good - but is always available, and there is a store on almost every corner. Since we are hardly ever at Cost Plus anymore, they lost our impulse buying for other items, too.
