I was 5 diopters in both eyes before LASIK and now am pretty much 20/20. While it cannot improve prespiopa (far sightedness as you age), I can see without glasses for much of the day. I had the monvision adjustment done so that I can continue to use my computer without corrective lenses, but have recently noticed more need for reading glasses--a fact of aging. Don't wait till you need reading glasses to have this surgery--it makes a world of difference for near sighted people.

I cannot say enough praise for Dr. Christine Lee. I gotta say that I have always hated going to the dentist since I was a wee tot. It was a humongous punishment for me. As I got older, it became harder for me to find a dentist that understood my embarrassingly irrational adult fear of having a person go anywhere near my mouth, dentist or not. Fortunately, Dr. Lee put my fears to rest as soon as I met her. She was unbelievably patient with me and thoroughly explained all and any procedures and little taps before she went forward with them. She also gave me some literature to help put me at ease before my cleaning and future cavity drilling and filling procedures. She notified her staff of my history of unease and they did their best to coddle the 'fearful adult.'

I recently was there at the hospital for my wife's delivert. Excellent quipments, nice staff...one complaint I have is they had this new bed that was for patiens and they did not know how to fully operate the same. I would say that with every new quipemnts they should get the staff trained on it for full operation of the quipment. Other than that no complaints that I can think of at the moment.,

Sadly, our wonderful Pediatrician, Dr. Mary Jane Pionk is moving out of the area (Santa Clara). My children likewise we the parents are sad to hear that she has to leave. We trully believe, she made us, feel so lucky to have her these past 6 years. She is such a kind, nurturing, intelligent, child-loving doctor any family would like to have. Her kind smile and simplicity as a Mom herself makes anyone comfortable and just excited to see her even during my children's illness'. Knowing she will take care, recommend or un-recommend medication. It was a pleasure having her care for our children. We will trully miss her. And henceforth ..good luck to your new area of practice. Dr. Jones is a fine doctor. He has a good bedside manner and always makes his patients feel welcome to come in for any little thing at all. He is down to earth and reminds me of those doctors you see in old movies that used to know everyones name in your family and makes house calls in the middle of the night. Of course, he most likely does not know everyones name and certainly does not make house calls, but his kind demeanor is A+. He takes the time to listen to what you're feeling, he doesn't rush like a lot of other doctors do.
