My daughter, 20 years old, and myself (her Mom) went to Commonwealth and were test driving a car my daughter wanted and is going to pay cash. Max, the salesperson 50 years old, was calling my daughter baby, sweetheart and don't worry about me I have children your age! My daughter loved the car but we were both turned off with the constant sexual comments. Very unprofessional and condensending.

I recently moved to Orange County and I needed to take my 2006 VW Jetta in for an oil change. I mistakenly chose to take my car into the nearest Volkswagen dealership, rather than asking around to see which was best. I ended up at this Commonwealth Volkswagen/Audi dealership. I called to make an appointment and was impressed they had an opening the very next day. I arrive at the location at my appointment time and saw a sign that they offered shuttle service to take you back to your work or home instead of waiting for your service to be completed. I inquired to my service representative about this service and he recommended I just wait for my car since it was such a small service and should only take about an hour and 15 minutes. So I waited and after an hour and 15 minutes I asked the clueless cashier girls about my car's status and they said they had not received my paperwork yet and that it must not be ready.
After an hour and 45 minutes I inquired again and they suggested I talk to my service representative. Apparently my service representative had gone to lunch and not done my paperwork. Another service rep finished my paperwork, took me to the cashier without any apologies for my extended wait, I paid my bill and was told my car was somewhere in the back. I had to use my car alarm to find my own car.
This was the worst service I have ever experienced. I came in for a simple oil change with an appointment and ended up wasting 2 hours surrounded by disrespectful people. I would not recommend this dealership for service - you should spend your money elsewhere. I'll be trying other dealerships next time, even if it means a longer drive.
Pros: They gave my car a car wash (if spraying water on it is a car wash)
Cons: Long wait, confused customer service reps, feeling like they forgot you in the shuffle

The sales-rep I was dealing with was condescending when dealing with us. He told us that we were crying over just a few hundred dollars. After much negotiating, we asked him for water-- he simply pointed in the direction of the water cooler. We got them to give us a good price (thanks to an honest and good-natured rep named Dave, who honestly-- though i must admit naively--said that our asking price was very reasonable, was the only redeeming quality of the place) so we reluctantly purchased the car. I was tempted to pay more at a different establishment because my sales-rep had such bad ethos that i didn't want to give him a sale. Alas, it was late.
When we purchased the car, it wasn't ready for us and I had to pick it up the following day. They promised the car would be finished at noon but i didn't drive it off the lot until 2:30pm (and it was still wet from the wash, it wasn't detailed, floor mats were wet, tank was only half-full). They were rude, cold, not helpful, and were very difficult to reach when I had confusions/problems with my car. They provided no contact information and did not offer ANY type of consolation for keeping us waiting even when we blatantly asked for something as simple as a VW keychain.
PROS: Dave.
CONS: everything else.
