I stop by Draeger's when I am looking for something in particular that is expensive. I don't always find it, but I do find some good things. They are a full grocer, with a cooking school and gourmet restaurant upstairs, as well as cookbooks, gifts and dishware for sale. They have a great selection of hard to find chocolates (not the one my wife wants, though) and some great upscale items.

When Draeger's was first built, we all thought it would put the other neighborhood markets out of business. This hasn't happened, because this place has a more upscale clientèle. It's fun just to walk through and browse around. Upstairs there is a section for those who love to cook, selling cooking utensils and offering cooking classes. There are great prepared foods of all ethnicities, a fresh salad bar, and floral section. It's a nice place with some deals, but mostly just interesting stock from all over the world.

Well, just to start off this ok review. I do want to let you know that Draegers Marketplace in San Mateo is very very pricy. I am saying like a loaf of bread is like $7.50 for the "OK STUFF". and the good bread is like $12.00
which is really a rip. The customer services is are a 1 being poor, due to satisfaction issues. The meat department is very expensive and stiff, if you dont put a stop to it.... I would reccomend shopping at your Local Whearhouse, which for me is Costco, in South San Francisco, also known as South City.
