Junior Gym in the greatest! I got the pleasure to watch my neice and nephew attend a gymnastics class and was very impressed. I was a bit unsure of what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that lets kids be kids but teaches them about fitness in a fun way. The teacher was a a young energetic guy who knew just what to do to keep several young children engaged while teaching them basic gymnastic skills and keeping it fun. I will recommend this to all my friends with young children.
A side note, they play great music during the classes!
Pros: Fun, clean, energetic and low cost!
Cons: None that I can think of

I have been to three birthday parties at Peninsula Gym and each time has been memorable and enjoyable for my son. I understand that there are two parties at the same time, but we always end up being at the same place. The kids get to do a gymnastics routine (parents can watch but do not participate) and then there is a party room (or two, we've always been in the same room) where you can bring snacks and cake. The gymnastics routine is fun and the kids really enjoy themselves and look forward to the next party.

This place is mainly design for men. It offers, among other classes, a Boxing conditioning classes, that teaches you how to box and exercise your body correctly. It is a hard exercise and its design not only for beginners but also for people who have boxing licensed. Big strong guys come in and out of this place often. This place has a ring and boxing arena for those who want to have a go at eachother. The coach is good and is patient with the new people.

This is a good yoga place because it's far enough away from the street where you don't hear all the traffic. It's off the beaten path, and through a courtyard, and easy to miss on a first visit. They offer yoga and other body work classes, and some events are free like the noon group meditation. It's a clean and zen space with polished floors, and a small store on site sells yoga mats and products.

My kids made an art project with the instructors from ArtForms at the Foster City Art and Wine Festival. It was making a multimedia (charcoal, paint, watercolor) replica of a famous artist's work. It is neat to see your child make something suitable for framing. However, it is EXPENSIVE to go to these classes! $22 bucks per class, especially in this day and age of multiple enrichment classes a week. They also have parties, but they are at least $25/kid! Would be great again if I had money to burn, but I don't.
