I have never seen as many assorted games in one location as I have seen here. This place gives you variety and the staff is extremely helpful in finding the game you are looking for. Prices are very reasonable.

If you own a small dog or a large one this is the perfect park for you to take your beloved pooch. Not only can they make friends, but you can as well. Unlike most dog parks this one is pretty clean. There is no dirt for the dogs to romp in, it's astroturf instead. The sun is always out and the people are always friendly.

I liked this shop.. I was looking for dance shoes because I needed them for my dance practice. So I was looking online and I found this store..so one day I went and I found the shoes I needed, the prices arent too bad. The clothes are a little expensive, though.I saw these cute sweatpants and it said Dancer on the side of the leg, It cost about $25.But I didnt buy them, and then a keychain was $6! I thought it was going to be like 3 dollars the most...
Then the workers there could've have been more friendly. But they did ask me if I needed help like twice. . Overall I would go to this store again.

Bob's Collectibles was part of the small antiques row located behind Safeway at 17th ave. Last month, they closed after having a huge sale. They have moved to a new location on 37th avenue in San Mateo, one that is smaller and less expensive. I overheard the co-op dealer at Bob's mention that the rent at the old location was three thousand a month, and it really was huge. It was full too. But check them out at the new store, because life goes on.

Central Park of San Mateo is obviously not like the one in New York, but it's still fun to be in. They have a baseball field, tennis courts, and soccer fields. They also have fun sturdy swings (there aren't that many swings in parks, nowadays). I love their minituare choo-choo train (i think rides are for a dollar), and it's the perfect place for a picnic or to just tan :0

This is a pretty big store for a tennis only store. They have everything ranging from clothes to racquets. Staff is very knowledgeable and introduced me to Volkyl, a brand that I had never heard of, but I really like now. You can try out racquets (I think it might cost you $5-10 to try out 2 or 3), but any money you put down goes towards the purchase of a new racquet. That's a real nice policy to have - it helps you really decide which racquet you like better. They also do a great job restringing racquets and even put a new grip on my racquet while they were at it.

An afternoon on the B street antique row would not be complete without a visit to Come C. They have items outside on the sidewalk, and when you get inside, you realize why. It's packed so full that even a petite person has to watch every step to make sure they don't knock anything over. It's that tight. But everywhere you turn, you get flashed back. I think it might be a collective with various dealers, so not much room for bargaining here, but they do have occasional sales.

The sign says it all. . .it's a faded out Sprite ad from the sixties that has never been changed. Doesn't matter, it's still 3rd Avenue News. Next door the Ben Franklin Hotel has seen better days, and the library has temporarily moved but the store survives despite the drop in business. Probably because they sell the most basic of stuff. They have a good selection of local and national newspapers, tobacco products, sodas, snacks and junk foods like candy, and a few novelties. You don't even have to go inside of the store, a window at the street level and a rack of newspapers on the sidewalk let's you do your business from a car with hazard lights on at the curb.

Whenever I need to buy some shoes, I usually come to Hillsdale. I used to go to Foot Locker until I discovered Winners downstairs. Foot Locker doesn't really have much variety anymore, and Winners has Nike Air Force Ones which are starting to be hard to get. Anyways, Winners has some really nice shoes, sweaters, and other athletic/urban-ish clothing. I don't really like their salespeople, though, (or the ones who answer the phone at least). I called once to ask if they had any Air Forces left (I couldn't come to their store until the weekend), and the guy kept annoyingly trying to convince me to come as soon as possible because they run out fast (but he wouldn't let me put a hold on them). However, I called three days later, and there were still many shoes left. Plus, they don't want to bother looking up the sizes and prices for you. When you ask, they get an attitude. But, hey, if you don't care about customer service, come here.

More
This store has been here for a very long time. The windows to the street used to look amateur, with hand lettered signs and tobacco products for sale next to used flea market style items. Inside, you would see a bunch of old men chatting, drinking coffee and playing cards. They sold things like dirty books and cigars. Now it's a respectable smoke shop, with some thought to the stock and display windows, and I really can't crack on the place anymore.
