I really like seeing this Chiropractor. She is a very nice sweet lady, who has a very firm hand on her. She has a wonderful staff, the receptionist is especially nice.
First time to a Chirporactor can be scary and unnerving but she made it a great experience and a life- learning ideal.
I enjoy the open treatment room where you can just go back and relax (once you are an established patient), and have the doctor come and treat you, but what is different about this doctor is she talks to you and learn of your needs.

I love Weight Watchers! They teach you how to eat real food from day one and moderate your portions. They stress behavior modification (solving real-life problems without food) and healthy eating. After 26 years of being overweight, I lost 35 pounds but I have kept if off for 9 years! I am actually the person who takes food home from a restaurant instead of leaving a clean plate. What I like best is the group support and getting 30 minutes a week to focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I get great food recommendations and encouragement and tips to deal with the challenges I still face. And I get one on one support from the leader when I need it. I cannot recommend WW enough!!!

Walgreen's has a rebate program where you can usually get Suave and Colgate products for free (okay, you do have to pay for a stamp to send in the form) and I haven't paid for toothpaste, toothbrushes, bodywash or shampoo for about a year. Plus, if you have them put it on a gift card, you get an extra 10%. This Walgreens also saves me the aggravation of getting kids out of the car or getting out of the car in the rain when I have to pick up a prescription since it has a drive through.

I used to shop at Walgreen Drug Store all the time when I used to live in a city that did not have another drug store. I loved it. It has an OK selection - I could pretty much get anything there (even though the variety was not that great.) They were not good with returns. I once lost a recipet for a lipstick and they did not take it back - and it was not even used.

I was looking for a dentist and had posted an ad on Craigslist (before I discoverd Judy's Book!). When three separate people had emailed me to gush over Dr. Wakasa, I figured I had to try him. He is a fantastic dentist. He is pleasant, kind, and his demeanor makes you feel relaxed. His staff is friendly and professional. I have never experienced any pain or discomfort while having my teeth cleaned or xrayed. He takes a conservative approach to dentistry and doesn't fill cavities the second they appear. Instead, he monitors them closely through regular xrays to assess whether they are growing or staying the same size. If they increase, he fills them...of course. I love this approach. Although Dr. Wakasa is relatively young, he follows in his father's footsteps (his dad practiced in the same building for years. So he has the young, fresh approach combined with years of experience derived from his father. The best dentist ever!

This place is really from the old school. I don't think anybody else delivers in this day and age, but they have been doing it for years. Who wants to drive to Walgreen's when you feel sick? It's a great idea! Plus the store has some good deals on other stuff.
PROS: same people have been working there for years and know your name
CONS: parking is sometimes and issue on 25th Avenue

Ted's is unique for many reasons. First, the staff has been there for many years, so neighbors get to say hello to familiar faces. Also, it's a small place, and only bargain items are sold here. And like a true mom and pop pharmacy, they offer FREE DELIVERY, something Walgreen's will NEVER have. That alone is worth it. My doctor can call can in a prescription, and it can be at my door when I arrive home.

This Target has made a lot of improvements within the last month or so. Its a little messy right now but it looks so much roomier then it did before. The isles used to be too crowded and now I dont have to pass them up when there's too many people.
PROS: bigger and more room
CONS: everything is in a different place then before
