Starr House is the BEST!!! I love the place! Renee is awseome! He does not rush you or anything, he does everything possible for your hair to be top notch! He views hair is an art work. He really loves being a hair stylist and it shows that he is passionate for this. He is friendly, kind and very likable. Other salons I went to sucked, but I gave Renee a chance and I am glad I did. I know where to go now when I need my hair to get done.

The Huntington Library is a beautiful place to visit when you're in the mood for some great scenery and don't want to go far from home. The Gardens are nestled in a San Marino neighborhood, and whether you decide to stroll the gardens, check out the art in the library, or have some tea - you will not be disappointed!

I come here once a month. It's one of my favorite places to have brunch. I always enjoy my meal here but I think I come here more because of the ambiance. I just ove its rustic and charming decor. Dont forget to visit their gourmet store just next door while you're there!

BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN GOING TO YOSHIDAS FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS NOT ONE COMPLAINT. HATE TO SAY THAT YOU MUST NOT NOW GOOD SUSHI IF IT WAS FORCED DOWN YOUR THROAT. THE SUSHI AT YOSHIDA'S IS TOP NOTCH. I've been going to this place since I was in Kindergarten in 1987 and it hasn't changed since. I still love going there and watching all the kids from the High School hanging out after school. The pizza is fantastic, best anywhere in the area. The salads are very good as well, and the sanwiches are just as good. The pasta dishes are good as well, but the truth is that if I've been there 1,000 times, 990 of those times I order the pizza. The student special is still a great deal with two slices and a large coke (you can choose small, medium, large or extra large) for $4.25. When you go in for the first time, get the student special with Pepperoni, and a Cherry Coke. I don't know what they do, but the Cherry Coke just seems to be better here than anywhere else on the planet. As for the atmosphere, it's always great, though it can very crowded if there is a high school football game that night (Tony's is located right next to San Marino High School) and if you go after school gets out. The parking lot can also be tricky, but there is plenty of street parking and another lot across the street. All in all, one of my favorite restaraunts.
Pros: The food, the price, the atmosphere.
Cons: Tends to be crowded after school and before high school football games, parking lot is small.

I have been shopping at this wonderful store for many years, since my now 16 year old twins were toddlers and I have always been treated with kindness. I have bought and returned exchanged and special ordered books and have never had a problem. I went into the store just a few days ago and after reading the angry review below I noticed right behind the counter in plain view is the return policy for the store which although can be viewed as strict, is completley necessary. Also when I have returned items and have recieved store credit I have always been able to use it just like cash would and I prefer that because I am unlikely to spend the credit like I would spend the cash.I love this store and the ladies that work there are helpful and are trying to make your choices easy and not just expensive. If in the area stop by and it will be difficult to leave without buying a single item. If you are discouraged by the angry review below every person experiences a difficult time but the store is unique and carries items of quality that will never be found at toys r us or even online.
Pros: Helpful workers, unique toys and willing to special order whent they are able to
Cons: They can get really busy on saturdays so unless you are going to a party and need something then would suggest going

My husband and I have used Christiansen & Christiansen for the past 2 years. The benefits that come from working with Dave are many. He doesn't just do our taxes, he also takes the time to look at our income and property to help figure out what will benefit us the most the next tax year. As mentioned in the previous reviews his services are reasonably priced for the value they provide. I highly recommend Dave!

I love this fantastic neighborhood cafe and market. I noticed it one day when I was driving by and couldn't resist checking it out. It is really charming - with seating inside and out. The seafood is very fresh and the service is really friendly.
I always order the Salmon Salad - the lettuce is crisp and the fish portion is generous. My sister loves their Tuna Salad - raves about it everytime and even craves it occasionally!
We took a tin of Chocolate Traveler Bittersweet Wedges home with us the last time - delicous! Looking forward to my next visit - (I'm going to try the Dark Chocolate Wedges with Mint next time) - and the Salmon Salad of course, I can't get enough of it.
Pros: Friendly service and generous portions of well-cooked fish.

when i used to live back in the Pasadena area, i would always go to sculpt for my hair needs. Since i wanted to dramatically change my hair, I decided to go to this salon rather than the usual one I was going to. Since my friends all had great hair, I figured I had nothing to lose. I continued going there for a few months after I moved to SD, but I have yet to find a place here that would do my hair as well as the crew at sculpt.
