I dined here a while back ago, took my nephew for his graduation. I have to tell you that I have eaten at several steakhouses in New York City (where I reside) and this outdid ALL of them!!! Definitely one of the juiciest steaks I've had and my nephew REALLY appreciated the Alaskan king crab legs. Next time I'm in SJ, I'll be taking my nephew again!
Pros: Great food
Cons: Maybe a little more knowledge on service

When I first arrived, it was difficult to find the restaurant as there was no signage. We arrived at the restaurant early and decided to have drinks in the bar. The bartender was terrific! I got to try Reislings by the glass that are very rarely available. What a treat!
Dinner was great - we started with the ahi tartare (classic) and shared a huge "cowboy" ribeye, with duck fat fries (yum! I have to go to my trainer for 2 extra sessions!) Burrata cheese with beets was the salad. It was also delicious. Slightly disappointing were the generic desserts - maybe we were just too full!
Pros: Food, Wine list, Service - Great private dining room that seats up to 40

This downtown hot spot has evolved into the very best steak house in the south bay. The ambience is far above average, the service is top drawer, and the food is always top drawer. This fine resturant is probably downgraded by being catagorized as a steakhouse, but it is no doubt the best in San Jose.

Stopped at the Bold Knight for lunch today and had the California Steak Salad. This is a Ceaser Salad served with Chunks of London Broil on the side. This is a wonderful salad. The food was excellent. I was seated promptly and my waitress was very pleasant and charming. I received my food in a timely manner and the price was very reasonable. My only complaint was that I was too early for the Cheese Fondue (The Best in the Valley). I can't wait to go back for dinner to enjoy a great steak and the fondue.

I always have a good time when we eat at Applebee's. The wait staff is usually very friendly and helpful. The place cam be pretty crowded on the weekends, but that is because it's so popular. Crayons and colorable kids menu is provided for children and sometimes there is even a balloon artist roaming the restaurant making balloon animals for whoever wants one. This is one of my family's favorite places of eat.

I had a great dinner and evening with my girlfriend at the new Picasso's Grill, the former Blake's restaurant. The service was fast and good, even on a Shark's game evening. Great tapas and sangria. Menu similar to Picasso's Spanish Cuisine around the corner on Santa Clara, but they have many steaks at this locations.
Pros: Good tapas and sangria. Great desserts.
Cons: Restaurant is being renovated, so not totally there yet.

the food is good , but not as good as the other kirk's steakburger located in campbell (on bascom). there are always alot of people here at this location during lunch and the store can be dirty at times. i went with my girlfriend in august and found 3 dead beetles on the ground! she was really grossed out and the staff did nothing to clean it up after mentioning it to them. they obviously got some sort of pest problem so i will go to the campbell location instead.
Pros: good food

This restaurant is so close to my house and yet is so unknown and forgotten about... It's been a while since I've been but I went with my mom's group on one of our nights out and I was impressed - the decor is very nice. The staff is friendly and the prices competitive - definitely more of a date night kind of place than with a group of friends.
