I think this store every one of the best brands available in the snowsports industry. I cant understand why some one would say they have a "crappy" selection. Perhaps they dont know much about skiing and snowboarding brands....? Knowledgeable staff, big store, best brands, service rentals, good deals...what else could you want?

This is where we get our snowboards waxed. For, really, no reason other than that it's cheap and convinient. Although we get our snowboards waxed there, we don't really shop for sporting goods at Helm since they have a crappy selection of snowboards and winter gear. Never really checked out the other sections. But it's definately lacking in the aforementioned areas.
