If you plan on enjoying El Jardin with a group, it's best to show early as they do NOT take reservations.
Perhaps our waiter was overwhelmed by the numerous drink orders or the bachelorette party at the table next to us... but the word NEGLIGENT comes to mind. Friends in my group had to wait anywhere between 20-45 minutes for their drink orders. Ridiculous. At the end of the night, we asked to speak with the manager, who stood there telling us it was mandatory to leave a tip rather than an apology for terrible service. Last I checked, it is considered good manners to tip according to the quality of service you received. When the 'quality' of service is sub par... the gratuity should be a reflection.
