We were VERY disappointed with the Indian food at this restaurant. Sure the venue is okay, but my husband and I will not go there for the food again. (1) Flavorless & Watery Entrees -- We ordered vegetarian dishes (palak paneer & kofta) and asked that the food be spicy. The food was bland & poorly flavored. The entrees were also watery & running (which is not the way they are supposed to be). Our food was definitely not worth the price. (2) Slow Service -- the food took an extremely long time to arrive and the restaurant was not at all crowded at this time. There are many other better places to go for Indian food in the Bay Area.
Pros: Ambience is okay, nothing extraordinary though.
Cons: Bad food, slow service.

Very nice lunch buffet. The salads were really great. There are many choices in both vegetarian and non vegetarian entrees. The naans come to the table. Mostly corporate crowd.

I started going here when it first opened and I take all of my friends here when I'm in town. The lunch buffet is great at 10 bucks a person and you get to try lots of different dishes. My favorite is their butter chicken and they always make sure you have hot naan at the table. The restaurant is clean with simple yet classy decor. No one I know has left here disappointed.
Pros: lunch buffet
Cons: parking during the lunch-hour rush

The restaurant is nicely decorated and modern looking, but my seat was near the bus stand and I got an earful of clanging silverware a few times. The service was fine. The food was OK, but not great. We were disappointed by the Mulligatawny soup. Vegetable samosa were good. Garlic naan was good, but the portion was not as generous as other places. The tomato kofta dish was good. I ordered lamb vindaloo "Indian hot", but it came out mild (by my taste). The waiter quickly took it back to the kitchen and then spiciness was just right. The lamb was very good quality and tender, but the sauce wasn't quite what I expected and I didn't like the curry leaves in the sauce (not sure if you're supposed to eat them or pick them out like bay leaves). There wasn't anything really wrong, but maybe it will suit your taste better.
Pros: pleasant ambiance, friendly service
Cons: didn't suit our taste

This new little restaurant has the best Indian food I've had. The atmosphere is more formal than other Indian restaurants in the area, and the prices are a bit higher, too. The menu is short, but full of items you might not see elsewhere, including Salmon Tandoori (excellent) and an insane variety of breads. If you like food spicy, be sure to tell the server "spicy". Medium isn't going to be spicy enough here.
Skip the Indian cracker they put on your table to start with. They're like styrofoam. If you're hungry, order an appetizer. Also, let them know if it's your birthday. They'll bring a dessert sampler. It's better than you might expect!

We tried out Mynt on a Saturday evening with a few friends. We had reservations and were promptly seated. I had some expectations from this place, but sadly the food and drinks were very disappointing. I must say, I've tasted better Indian food in the bay area in some other restaurants of the same size and price. I found the chicken xacuti and kebabs to be pretty blend and tasteless and the vegetable jalprezie which they recommended was just 'okay'. The ?lassi? was very sweet.
I haven?t tried their lunch buffet and maybe it is better than dinner, but in conclusion, my experience was average. The food preparation was ordinary. I'll really have to be tempted to go back to this joint again as there are better choices available in the neighborhood.
Their service and interiors of the place was good.

Have eaten at the Mynt several times and have never been disappointed. This is indian food at its best, a different and eclectic mix that teases the palate. I was most impressed by the menu and choices of dishes that was very different from the "usual" indian food. Special mention needs to go to the sea food dishes and vindaloos that stood out and brought out the best of "goan" cusine. Sample the buffet lunch and dinner and be assured of the same high quality and taste. The ambience and decor was simple, yet inviting and the service was excellent......I'll be going back soon.
Pros: Great food and service to match
Cons: Parking / location

I've been to many bayarea Indian restaurants but this one was different.
Lunch Buffet--The buffet price is a bit higher than other joints BUT the food selection is also better. This is the only indian restaurant that serves seafood as part of the buffet. In the buffet line up, you find your usual chicken tandoori style stuff but then you also find exotic Kabuli Rice (must try!) and Chicken 65 (spicy!).
I tried the food and loved it. So I hired them for catering to my dad's 75th birthday event for about 30 or so people. The staff was fantastic! Nandini (co-owner/Manager) took it upon herself to coordinate everything around the event (I didn't have to worry about anything), the chef carved up a watermelon to read '75'! (very creative !)
If you're ordering food from the menu---you MUST order the Cochin Prawns! Just make sure you calibrate the spiciness to your taste---I said 'medium' and it was too hot for me (my Indian tastebuds have mellowed out over the years). I recommend mild to medium.
Pros: food taste, selection and staff
Cons: no separate area for private events
