I absolutely LOVE The Village. I have been there for lunch, dinner, and obviously drinks! The service is Fantastic! Everyone is so friendly and very knowledgable about their wine selection and pairings. While the wine is great, I would never be able to go in without getting infused vodka. I reccomend raspberry and pineapple mixed if you are lucky enough to go when they have both! I have been for all different occasions, when my parents were in town, a friends 21st birthday and even Valentines Day...The Village is perfect! There is a bit of a wait on weekends and the dinner crowd seems to be a bit late- going early wouldn't hurt, but the bar is a great place to wait, or even eat! The brie is a must and their lamb is to die for! Never had a thing I didnt love! Best place in town!
Pros: food, drinks, service, location
Cons: the wait

Not having been to the Three Flames Restaurant in years, we were pleasantly surprised when we dined there recently. The whole dining room has been re-done, the ceiling is gorgeous with beautiful lighting and mahogany wood. Everything looked great.
But my favorite part was the halibut! The best halibut I've ever had. It was tender and moist with great flavor, and it had a delicious brown crisp to the surfaces. Topped with a heavenly Tarragon wine sauce - Yummy! Our friends had Prime Rib, Blackened Chicken, and New York Pepper Steak and everyone loved their meal.
Pros: decor, delicious food, romantic ambiance

Great spot in Santana row...very fun, great energy..live music on the night we were there...and even when you're outside the restaurant you are in fun filled santana row. And unless you're a prissy, demanding patron who will find fault with the smallest mistake, you will have a good time.

Max's is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. It has an extensive menu, good drinks, and desserts that are huge. We've had overall good service. My wife and I visit two to four times a month.
Our only complaint, they don't open the patio area often enough.
Pros: large selection of good food
Cons: patio is often closed

Those Chile Verde Super Burritos with HOT sauce....Someone hold me down...I am going to eat myself to death...
If you get stuff to go, just ask for tons of hot sauce...They are more than willing to give you more...My first time in there I was a bit taken back- but noticed EVERYONE had a bottle of the signature HOT sauce...
Such a great alternative to Jack in the Box, Pizza My Heat, and that horrible place Iguanas around the corner....This place actually has a bit more customer service and the food is to die for!
If you are going to park, try parking on the other side of the street, or over at McDonald's....
Pros: Open till 3AM, Best Hot Sauce, Inexpensive, Friendly Service, Downtown, Great for after the Bars...
Cons: Easily Addicting...

The food and wine is magnificent. The fresh wild game is one of the house specialties. It' has a very beautiful tasteful decor. Service is top notch. After having dinner several times, I was amazed at the beauty of the creekside location during the day.

Every dinner I've had here has never been a bad experience. My favorite dishes are the glazed chicken wings, roasted chicken with mash potatoes, seared ahi tuna, roasted chicken with fettuccine, and the gordon biersch burger. My favorite beers are the Blonde Bock, Pilsner, and Marzen. As for the seasonal beers, I like the Hefeweizen and Winter Bock. It doesn't matter whether i'm sitting outside or inside, the service is always great.
Pros: live music, beer, nearby parking
Cons: crowded

Get your best sourdough bread right here! There is always a fresh baked sourdough bread that comes right out of the oven when you make your order. The service is great! They are friendly, quick, and efficient. If you are downtown and in a mood for a full-filling sandwich, this is the place to eat. They are located on 3rd Street, across from St. James park, in a newly remodeled brick building.
