Aqui has become our favorite restaurant. The one in Willow Glen is the one we usually go to, but we like the one in Campbell also, and the food is consistant. Not only is the food great, the prices are good, the drinks are good, and ALL the people that work there are outstanding. Everybody is cheerfull and helpfull. I'm not crazy about the new aluminum chairs. It does get pretty busy sometimes, but it is well worth it.

Those Chile Verde Super Burritos with HOT sauce....Someone hold me down...I am going to eat myself to death...
If you get stuff to go, just ask for tons of hot sauce...They are more than willing to give you more...My first time in there I was a bit taken back- but noticed EVERYONE had a bottle of the signature HOT sauce...
Such a great alternative to Jack in the Box, Pizza My Heat, and that horrible place Iguanas around the corner....This place actually has a bit more customer service and the food is to die for!
If you are going to park, try parking on the other side of the street, or over at McDonald's....
Pros: Open till 3AM, Best Hot Sauce, Inexpensive, Friendly Service, Downtown, Great for after the Bars...
Cons: Easily Addicting...

From the outside you'd never know what an amazing treasure this place is! The inside is cozy and small touches like the artful place settings and food presentation give it a touch of simple elegance. But the food really steals the show. We've been come for over a year and keep coming back. Every dish we've had is an incredible blend of fresh flavors that are never overpowering. Nothing is overdone - the great combination of tastes really shine in superb dishes like the pork short ribs (my favorite), stir-fried filet mignon, tamarind prawns and the to-die-for falling chocolate cake with lychee ice cream - heaven! They have a small but carefully-selected wine list and almost every month they host a fun wine pairing dinner. The entrees can be on the small side, but we're always satisfied.
My husband and I consider this our own secret place for a dinner. If you want a long wait for a crowded, noisy and rushed meal, head to nearby Santana Row. If you want a quiet, elegant meal full of flavor, try Citronelle.

This downtown hot spot has evolved into the very best steak house in the south bay. The ambience is far above average, the service is top drawer, and the food is always top drawer. This fine resturant is probably downgraded by being catagorized as a steakhouse, but it is no doubt the best in San Jose.
Pros: Food, Wine list, Service
Cons: Parking

I love Karaoke and just started going to the Cardinal on Wednesday nights for the great Karaoke on that night. I usually go in early and have something to eat at the restaurant. The food is great and the portions in most cases more than I can handle. The service is great and in the bar it is the same. The bar is great as most everyone is having a good time and no outrageous noise or troublemakers as I have seen in some bars around town. Great place and reccomend all the facilities that are available there.
Pros: Parking is very good and The service is great and of the course the food is great
Cons: Only once in a while in the bar some really loud people but no one gets out of hand.

Get your best sourdough bread right here! There is always a fresh baked sourdough bread that comes right out of the oven when you make your order. The service is great! They are friendly, quick, and efficient. If you are downtown and in a mood for a full-filling sandwich, this is the place to eat. They are located on 3rd Street, across from St. James park, in a newly remodeled brick building.

Not having been to the Three Flames Restaurant in years, we were pleasantly surprised when we dined there recently. The whole dining room has been re-done, the ceiling is gorgeous with beautiful lighting and mahogany wood. Everything looked great.
But my favorite part was the halibut! The best halibut I've ever had. It was tender and moist with great flavor, and it had a delicious brown crisp to the surfaces. Topped with a heavenly Tarragon wine sauce - Yummy! Our friends had Prime Rib, Blackened Chicken, and New York Pepper Steak and everyone loved their meal.
Pros: decor, delicious food, romantic ambiance

Max's is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. It has an extensive menu, good drinks, and desserts that are huge. We've had overall good service. My wife and I visit two to four times a month.
Our only complaint, they don't open the patio area often enough.
Pros: large selection of good food
Cons: patio is often closed
