Henry's has been around for a very long time and I have been going there since the mid 80's. Every time I have gone, I have had great food. The experience is different from other restaurants. Henry?s can be very crowded, especially if there is a Shark's game going on. When you get there, you need to take a number and wait for them to take your order. The menu is on the wall along with the prices of the meals. But whatever you do order, you will not be disappointed. I personally do not care for the "butter" that the put on the baked potato so I ask for plain butter. You have to order their mushrooms, as this is a great side dish with your food. Yes it can be a bit pricey, but the food is great!!! I would recommend this place if you love BBQ meats. If you bring friends from outside the area, when you pull up, they may say you have to be kidding. But once they taste the food, they will thank you for bringing them there. Parking can be hard, again especially when there is a Shark?s game going on that evening. Pros: Steaks, mushrooms and all of the other food Cons: parking

I Iove this place! I'm so glad they have a location near my work. My experience has always been great at Henry's. The food is very fresh and the service has always been prompt and friendly. I've tried prime rib and ribs and its always really tasty and flavorful. The meat just melts in your mouth! It was so good! I mostly dine in evening when it is most crowded. The food at this place is fantastic so I dont mind paying a little more. I also really dig the environment, fun and relaxing. I've been to plenty of other places, but this place still rates the best in my book. I'm not sure why others I have asked had average food experiences here, but hopefully I dont have to encounter this when I go back.. Pros: great food Cons: kinda pricey

The food here is always good. As for me, I get the baby-back ribs every time. Sometimes they are merely very good, but sometimes they are mind-blowingly good! My wife gets the steak or prime-rib and loves it every time. But the best part of all is how simple the place is... and I mean simple.... the decor, the potato and salad that comes with the meal, the building, everything. However, its hard to find a place like this if you are looking for something about as un-pretentious as it gets but with good chow. Sometimes its fun to go to Il Fornaio, Left Bank, Spago's, Bella Vista, Evvia, MacArthur Park or some other SV place for top notch food, higher class ambience and decor and so on... and sometimes its fun to go someplace really divey and simple but with good stick-to-your-ribs kind of fare. This is the latter. So come with the right frame of mind when you go here and just look to have some unpretentious fun! I've been going to this place since 1988, and I aim to keep going there as long as the food and character stay the way they are! Pros: Food atmosphere Cons: None that I know of....

Henry's is the best. The food is simple and great. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance is a trip back in time in a wonderfully historic part of the city. We've been loyal customers for years. It's a great place in the middle of a lazy afternoon and unbeatable before and after a Sharks game. The staff is enthusiastic and goes out of their way to help. We (two women of a certain age) wanted Henry's Grand Prix tee shirts a little early because we were leaving town and Jimmy gladly went in the side room and got us some. I've only had the chicken here, but it was pretty good. Smokey and plentiful. However, the prices are a bit high for bbq and the wait was a little long. Sides are OK - nothing special. We've been there a couple times and the quality of the food is consistently good. Also, full bar for while you wait. The parking is on the street, and the street can be kinda dicey. Otherwise, pretty good for bbq in the Bay Area. Pros: Good food. Cons: Slow service. Street parking.
