I don't know if the phone number/address above is correct but we use Larry Cook from Absolute Tree Care in San Jose or Campbell. He is really really good. We have 3 large Oak trees that define our property and he is the ONLY guy that we will let touch them. We've used him for the last 8 years and the previous owner also used him. Again, REALLY good. Knows trees, cares about trees. Five stars.

For 100 dollars on my home's huge lot, they do a decent job. My lawn is very big, so I'd imagine that the workers get pretty tired walking around it to trim it. I usually am too lazy to mow it. I wish they would do a better job on trimming the bushes and throwing their garbage away though. But, they did do an excellent job mowing my lawn. I told them that I want the grass to be 3 inches high, and that is exactly how they cut it.

They landscaped our entire backyard. The quality of the work was high. In the end we were very happy with the outcome, largely because we had a good design (done by a separate party). However, communication with Jim could have been improved. He seems to have a lot going on, and was not on-site as much as we would've liked. When he was on-site, I thought he was somewhat unapproachable. His crew was hard-working, but there was a bit of a language barrier at times which made it difficult to convey our thoughts and needs.
PROS: good quality work, nice crew
CONS: poor communication

Very helpful with the entire process. He even picked up the materials from the store before starting the project. Spent a lot of time making sure everything was the way it SHOULD be. Definitely would use Best Construction again. I give it 4 stars because they did forget to add 1 final touch to the project. No big deal because it was 4 nails, but it did get overlooked. Thanks.
