Had b-day party and spent well over $1000 on friday night, made reservations 3 weeks in advance and had bottle service at table. The owner Mina Shamsaei son showed up and tried to take over area and had his friends disrupt our party. This was very unprofessional and tacky. He commented on, he wanted to make money that night and have his friends enjoy drinks on the house. If this is the way Mina has raised her son and approves of his cockyness than it is very disappointing on both ends. At the same time, the waitress had come over and removed all of our drinks. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST.
Pros: None
Cons: Owner son rude and obnoxious !!!

Just another fake bar trying to fit into a high class area. Neither the drinks or the girls are worth it.

We went there after a long day @ work (November 5th 8pm). We enjoyed the pub ambiance, friendly bartenders, & great food.
I had mouth watering filet, my friends ordered burger, and fish & chips. our server told us all the meats are Organic. My friends loved their beer selection as well. This was my 4th visit. Never bad experience. Now that Obama is our new president for change, and economy is hurting most everybody, we all should have more honest reviews, as opposed to bashing a good business. Good job Rosie

WOW does this place get crowded though...Good music with a great mix of people. Drinks are a little pricey and small, but great place to walk around before and after with Santana Row right there.

I personally loved my bangers and mash (although they were $15!!) but my friends' food was a boring chicken pesto sandwich for $13. This place is a little odd, a nice looking dining room, with a crazy bar area right next to it. They do have a nice selection or beers from Ireland and the UK but if you are looking for a more authentic Irish pub don't go here.

I went there several times, I even stopped by on 21st birthday. Yet when my friends came over to visit, I was not allowed because when I showed the bouncer my ID he told me it was fake. I told him that it is a real ID and it was issued by the DMV and he can call the cops since if it is fake then I'm breaking the laws. The bouncer was extremely rude and told me to find cops so they could check my ID, prove that it was real and then he'll let me in. I thought it was ridicilous and it was a half an hour before closing, I mean how can you talk to people like that? But that is how their staff is trained. The next day I called the manager and told him how I was treated, and how they might want to hire more professional or at least intelligent bouncers (maybe train them), or better yet get a scanning machine that would do that work you. Needless to say I think that idiot still works there.
Crowd: Fairly old (30's to 40's) I never saw many people in their 20's.
Music: It's never new, when I was there it was 80's.
Food: The food is ok, but for the service and the atmosphere NOT WORTH IT.
Santa Row has so many other place with better music, food and crowd.

I was down in San Jose for work and went to Rosie's with some colleagues after our conference... I live in San Francisco so I'm used to great restaurants and great food and I must admit I was not expecting much from an Irish pub ~ but the food was AMAZING. The bacon wrapped stuffed prawns and the Irish nachos were delicious. I got the Kobe Beef burger and ceasar, which were great too. We ended up getting three desserts because each one good that more people at our table decided they wanted some so we had to keep ordering (the bread pudding is the best thing ever). They had fun drinks (like pomogranite mojitos) and a DJ started around 9. The place was packed and really fun - even though it was a thursday nite. We all had a really good time.
Pros: food, music, drinks
Cons: none!

I am an extreme business traveler that eats daily at restaurants throughout the United States and the World. When I get a rare chance to eat in my home city of San Jose I expect that I deserve a great dining experience for such a great city. But, my dinner with my wife at Rosie McCann?s was absolutely abysmal. I have never met a more unprofessional and robot-like wait staff. At least they should have quickly got our drinks to help numb the horrible service; but that didn?t even happen. During our long wait to take our order, one of the waiters spilled a tray of drinks (no problem, it happens), luckily on the floor, and not on their customers. The cooks in the kitchen began laughing and taunting the waiter in front of customers. I would expect this from a staff of high-school kids running a fast-food restaurant. Our waitress continually apologized for the horrible service (slow, forgetful, automaton), but never made an attempt to make any heart felt effort to make any part of this gloomy situation any better. They never even offered a dessert menu at the end of our meal to help us forget the pathetic incident. I think we should have thanked the waiter for helping us get the heck out this miserable restaurant. To top it all off, our hostess brought us our check, with an attitude of a DVM employee. I gave her a credit card; she returned and did not run the credit card. She came back to retrieve the credit card, again, and was giggling like an embarrassed school girl. Very very sad! All I can hope for is that after a year or less, another restaurateur that has a desire and a passion that only a restaurateur can have will open a new restaurant in this location deserved of Santana Row. After all it would be a shame to waste perfectly good decor. Simply, go around the corner to the main drag or dog park of Santana Row; there a many wonderful restaurants. STAY FAR FAR AWAY from Rosie McCann?s!
Pros: Ah....none
Cons: Very sad
