We're foodies at our house; I used to cook in a French restaurant and now cook almost all of our meals at home from scratch. We didn't expect much from a buffet, and I think we were realistic about the quality we thought would be there. We've been to buffets before.
I had high hopes when we went in as the restaurant looks very nice. it's a big colorful room with rows of buffet tables.
The people were nice and the sushi was edible, even if it tasted like supermarket sushi that had sat for a while. Those are the only good things I could say about the place.
Everything tasted like old, fishy oil. All the fried food (sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, even mixed vegetables) tasted rancid.
The shellfish, tasted like they had been frozen and defrosted many times. No flavor and a bad texture. The salt and pepper squid was hard - not crisp but hard and unpleasant. I left a plate of food with one bite out of each thing.
My 14 year old son, who bugged me to go to this place for three weeks agreed that it was the worst restaurant meal we have had.
Lunch was $6.99 each. If I had gone at dinner and been charged $16.99 for each of us, I would have walked out after the first couple of bites and not paid. As it is, we all feel nauseous.
I strongly recommend you avoid this place.

Like many other buffets in the bay area, super buffet offer a huge selection of food. The quality of their seafood is ok. But actually most of their dishes just didn't taste right. Of course, for this price I shouldn't expect too much. Their service is not bad and the restaurant is clean. But I dould I would go there again since I don't eat much.
PROS: huge selection of food
CONS: nothing special and doesn't taste very good

East Buffet - i believe pinole or richmond
Some other Chinese buffet in Campbell
ALL THE SAME STUFF
ALL THE SAME GAG FACTOR
IT IS NOT WORTH $2 TO EAT AT ANY OF THESE PLACES,
IT MAKES ME SICK. GOOD THING I ONLY WENT 4 TIMES, because i thought each new place was different -- they ARE NOT.
PROS: NOTHING WHATSOEVER
CONS: EVERYTHING IMAGINABLE, GO TO HOMETOWN INSTEAD

This buffet probably has the biggest selection I have ever seen. They have many different cuisines including Chinese, Japanese, and American. The price for lunch is decent, being around $8 and the dinner price is around $17, if I recall correctly. I recommend first trying it out for lunch and if you like it then go back for dinner.

Like most buffets serving asian food, the restaurant is not meant to look classy. Service is actually pretty good for a buffet, although waiters and waitresses aren't always on top of taking away finished plates. The price is decent for what you get.
Food is awesome for a buffet...lots of high quality seafood and good servings of steak, ribs, and what not. Clams, shrimp, and crab are great, and if you can get to the lobster, great as well. That's where the risk comes...some dishes are like feeding frenzies of vultures and wolves on a carcass. It's shocking to see some of the customers ignore the limit 2 pieces per person sign and shovel lobster sky high on a plate. It is guaranteed that dish will be completely empty in exactly 1 min from the time it was brought out of the kitchen and set down. Despite the good food, this place is definitely not a place I'd go to again.
PROS: Quality food and tons of seafood
CONS: Rabid homo sapiens that'll tear off your arm if you get near their prey
