I love this place. Its really good pizza, but your bill can be up there. Parking stinks because it is at Santana Row and it can be crowded in the resturant as well.

The atmosphere is nice, the servers are pretty nice, and the entrees are consistently delicious. I love the crispy thin crust pizzas and recommend pizzas # 4 & 8 with tomato sauce and the spaghettini with sausages! The salads are really good too but a little on the pricier side.
Love the fact you can dine indoors or outdoors (heated lamps make you nice and toasty).

I usually don't eat pizza too often but with all the rave reviews I had to see what all the hype was about. Pizza Antica makes unbelievably fantastic pizza. I've never had thin-crust pizza this good. The mushroom pizza is to die for! For appetizers, I highly recommend the fried artichokes. Also, Pizza Antica officially serves the best caesar salad I have ever had. The lettuce is chilled and tastes fresh enough to have been straight from the garden. The salad isn't over dressed and the croutons bring a buttery taste to the salad, I love it. Surprisingly Pizza Antica also offers quite an impressive winelist.
The only thing I can really knock about Pizza Antica is that it's a bit expensive for Pizza. Depending on the day you come, the wait can be extremely long but is definitely worth it.

Wonderful place in Santana Row.
The pizza is thin crust, not greasy at all. We love the potato-truffle oil pizza. The decor is nice. You can seat out side too.
It can get pretty crowded on weekends!

I've often enjoyed dinner at Pizza Antica in the past. It has a good and lively atmosphere, and normally friendly waiters and hostesses. However, the quality of food has gone down hill in the past year. Dishes that I used to enjoy in the past seem to lack quality of ingredients and preparation. I used to enjoy the caesar salad, but recently, the lettuce has been wilted or unfresh on several occations. The pizza and pasta used to fill my mouth with flavor. Again, these days, several of the dishes seem extraordinarily bland. It just seems like this location has lost a lot of what it used to have over the past year. I used to visit this restaurant very frequently. I've stopped going now, opting for other restaurants in Santana Row that have maintained their quality.
Pros: Good and lively atmoshere
Cons: Food quality has declined, ingredients not fresh, dishes bland

I love Pizza Antica. My parents are from out of state and everytime they visit my mother will not leave without going! She gets some pizza w/ broccoli and its always really good! The pepperoni is popular everytime. I always get the chicken ceasar piadini... mmmmm.... I wish i still lived nearby I would be there now. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing dinner- this isnt it. The food takees awhile, and its always crowded (I usually opt for lunch time!), and its a ver casual setting... but with food that good its worth it! Its the only pizza I will eat outside of Chicago!
Pros: The FOOD!
Cons: the wait

No minuses for hasty service and long waits since that is to be expected from Santana Row restaurants. The pizza is amazing. A nice, light, thin crust. The signiture pizza's are unique. The pear, Mt Tam and sweet garlic is awesome. But the crust, sauce and cheese are so good that just about any topping goes well on the pies. The starters and salads are usually good too.

For almost $9 when you order bruschetta, you expect atleast few pieces of bread with the toppings, but all you get is a single bread toast which is just otrageous.Same about gnocchi, just 5-6 pc.s for $13. I do like the quality of food but it's just not worth the prices.Agreed, we don't need to load up,but we don't want to open the fridge either after going home.
Their desserts need serious thought on quality and presentation.I expect more from a Santana Row Restaurant than what Pizza Antica offers.
Pros: Good food
Cons: Price-portions sizes,service

I grew up in Italy and am quite picky in Italian food in the States, but I admit that Pizza Antica comes as close as I have seen to the real deal. This is a good thin crust pizza, crispy crust and tastey toppings. . . and with their prices, it's indeed a bargain.
To top it off, the service/management is really good. Only once I have ever had problems with the food (the spicy stewed calamari was just a bit undercook). They first made apologies and in less than 5 minutes I had another plate in front of me and when I wasn't fully satisfied with the second one either (I actually never said anything verbally the second time), having left the plate almost untouched on the side, they simply took it off the check, even if I have just boxed it to bring it home. I had both the waitress and the manager apologizing twice: a far better service and much more attention to the client?s satisfaction than I have had at Le Boulevard (SF) or Amber India (Mountain View).
Pros: You will have a minimum wait tiem of 15 to 20 minutes unless you egt there right before closing
Cons: the food and the price. This is oen unpretentious place serving plain good food.

Pros: good service and decor
Cons: gnocchi
