It has more private sellers (average folks selling their belongings) where as many of the large swap meets are now heavily populated by businesses offering discounted pricing because of the low overhead. There are businesses, but not to the exclusion of the private sellers.
And it is the private sellers that bring the most wonderful treasures! Come out to the Capital Flea Market and discover your next treasure!

The Flea Market is located at 1590 Berryessa Road in San Jose since 1960. Generations of San Jose families have flocked there on the weekends to search for treasures, haggle with sellers for bargains or to sell their own possessions.
It is a fun, ever-changing place that is always a good way to spend a weekend afternoon. Sundays generally have the best turnout. Go early to take your pick of the best items or to find something really special.
Don't expect anything fancy here. It is an open-air marketplace. But it's always fun, a great place for bargains and always an adventure.

The food and atmosphere are both great. I usually get take-out from this place as its easy & always prompt. Food is outstanding; a little disappointed that they charged for rice... but seems to be happening at a lot of places these days.
Try the walnut shrimp & Mongolian beef.
Pros: Great food
Cons: Always busy

I also still remember their uproariously funny promotion years ago of "I'm HELPING..." by a new employee dolt, to advertise their ingredients freshness. Round Table is great! Go and enjoy a great time, whether romantic, family, group, or for just fun!

John's is legendary in downtown Willow Glen as a family owned restaurant serving wonderful comfort food in a pleasant relaxed environment. You must try the leg of lamb, pot roast and pasta shells ala John, as well as the Greek fare which is absolutely top of the line. Also a really steak for a reasonable price.
You will not leave John's hungry and you will leave with some money in your wallet!
We go at leat once a week. A great place for kids also.
