AND good lord if they could only improve the food & service. Honestly, we only go because it's close to where we live and they have a patio. Service is slow on the patio, but the staff is quite personable once you get to know them. Anna is a doll! BUT pleeeeaaaase stop passing off Coscto cheesecakes as dessert and get a real menu that has been spell checked! The fish & chips are good...but everything else really could use an upgrade. Is it really that difficult to serve somewhat decent food? If they did we'd be there all the time dropping $$$ !!!

I lived in Almaden Valley for a long time and have watched the Brit decay. The service gets worse and worse each year. I finally got fed up with their changing clothing rules and rude waitresses. I now go to Branham Lounge, much friendlier! Cheers!

We used to come to Trivia Night every Tuesday..but no more..Chuck was the greatest, quick wit, snappy comebacks to rude players..now it's Pubstumpers, a veiled ruse to get more customers in to boost business but the trivia is not like it used to be and no fun anymore. Sorry, we loved it, but no more. We have found a place that does Buzztime trivia and it's much more fun and the people are friendlier during games, we yell out answers because we are playing against the whole USA and Canada, tonight our pub came in 6th. on the first game, great fun. And the beer flows like water... The waitresses at Brittania Arms are great, friendly and fast. The food is a bit expensive for my wallet and some of it leaves much to be desired. But the Kobe Burger is the Greatest!! Now if only the trivia was that good we'd be back in a New York minute!!

Although the UK is not known for great food, it doesn't mean the fake pubs can also serve average food. They do sell breakfast, but that doesn't start until 9:30 (almost lunchtime for some people)

I was at Britannia of Almaden on July 19, 2002 having dinner with my girlfriend. To make the story short, the waitress was extremely rude, never come by to ask us how our food was, and give us a rude attitude when we asked about the Happy Hour. Was not friendly at all, no eye contact, and just plain rude. We then asked for the manager that night to complained about the situation, he didn't seem to care about it. He keeps making excuses and hope that we enjoy the food and that we should come back in the near future. No way, we are not coming back. This place needs some real restaurant customer's service, and should care more about the patrons. This place has good food and decent price, but need to improve customer's service alot. Thank you and hope this get back to the manager. Pros: good bar food, decent price Cons: terrible service, poor management, too many guys
