My husband and I have taken various cars in for service & repairs over the past 5 years. Larry Sr. is professional & provides great service. For those who might have had a problem with his son, he has been gone for over 2 years.

One of the hardest things in life is to find a mechanic you can trust. My first visit to Townsend Automotive had been a pleasant one. Friendly service, a shuttle ride to work and it cost a fraction of what the dealership charges. Of course I was dealing with the senior Townsend. My second visit was not planned. The junior Townsend (son of the owner...to confuse me, they also have the same first name) called me at work and said that there are service bulletins posted for my vehicle. Little did I know he was referring to bulletins dated 2 years earlier that the dealership had already taken care of. He then replaced the brakes and the cabin air filter and charged me MORE than the dealership (you can call the dealerships and get a quote). He was kind enough to price match the quote though, but I left there feeling like I just had unnecessary work done on my car. Very unsettling....you'll feel swindled and foolish when dealing with Larry Townsend, Jr. I would never go back unless I made certain the service was supervised by Larry Townsend, Sr.
