If you're looking for cheap, delicious Vietnamese food, Golden Deli is perfect. In fact, Jackie Chan specifically visit the restaurant when filming in LA for Rush Hour. The place is family owned, and both the prices and food quality and quantity are extremely consistent. During cold seasons, pho with a deliciously aromatic beef broth is always a good choice, as is clear noodle (made of mung bean) in seafood broth. Rice and dry vermicelli are popular as well, usually topped with any combination of baked egg, grilled lemon beef, pork, shrimp paste, barbeque meatball, and many others. The most popular appetizer is the fried spring roll that is so full of meaty, peppery flavor; served hot, it is best complimented with cold, crispy lettuce wrap and dipped in sweet and sour sauce. Your only concern should be the long lines that form during peak hours (even for lunch on weekdays).

We've bought everything from trees to ground cover here. They have a spectacular array of trees, citrus, roses, shrubs, annuals, you name it. The staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable. They'll help you locate the plants on your list and give you advice about placement, water needs and varietal differences. There's a florist on site as well. Best of all they give you discount credit toward future purchases and have discounts for members of the various botanic gardens in the county.

I eat here alot. This place is tops on my list for Thai in the area. Although it can get crowded on the weekends, it is worth the wait. The restaurant is traditional, nothing fancy, but the staff is great and really do a good job in serving you. Staff/ Waiters are dressed in traditional Thai. They also box your food for you unlike other places which leave the box/bag on the tables. For food, the stuffed chicken wings are awesome as is anything rice or noodle dish on the menu. I can go on and on. I'd adivse you to try it and see for yourself.
What sets this place apart from all the others is they DELIVER. Not too many restaurants in the area deliver in the Alhambra area. Since this is one of them, they deserve extra for doing so.

The ship from Northwood's Inn is the place to go if you want Clearman's salad's and cheese bread, but in an even more relaxed, kickback, casual atmosphere. Get the salad, bread, chili burgers, huge beers and watch the game. It's perfect for a get together of old and new friends. Kids love this place too. This is the place to take the family and still feel like you had an adult night out (unless you have reall annoying children). There is plenty of video games and good times for all.
Pros: Great burgers and salad ... BEER!!
Cons: You have to buy the beer ;-)

We go here quite often for great Japanese food. They give you nice portions and a HUGE menu of things to choose from. I usually order the chicken teriyaki but, everything I've had here is great. Wait staff is generally very friendly and attentive
PROS: great food

me and the wife are regulars here...the food is just fantastic!
I love the Pho, and the filet mignon cubes w/ red rice dish is
my favorite. I like the fact that they also give you a side of
salad with it for only about $7. cheap but excellent food.
We also frequent their sister restaurant, Golden Deli near Alhambra.
Which is just as good but missing some dishes that Saigon Flavor only serves. Not as big as Saigon Flavor. You'll also noticed that Saigon Flavor have all waitresses and Golden Deli has mostly all waiters.
love this place!

This has got to be one the best lunch special restaurants out there. But it is CASH only. Food is cheap and you should definitely get the clam, fish fillet, and kung pao chicken. If you can afford, get one...tasty, but good if large parties.
Pros: Delicious, Affordable

If you are tired of Turner's for your firearms need then this is the place for you. The staff that runs this shop is knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help in anyway. The quality of service is worth much more then they charge. I felt very comfortable the first moment I stepped in the door. They not only sell firearms, but collectables, gunsmithing and hard to find ammo. Give this shop a try your next time out, you won't be disappointed.

More
From the moment you walk in, some degree of authenticity is confirmed by the mixed chatter of Mandarin Chinese and English. Cool decor of sandblasted glass and plants give it the sleek look of a chain, which I've found out recently that it is. Next door in a connected shop sits a more traditional Chinese tea shop with it's selection of pots and bagged and loose-leafed teas. Sitting at the tables are mostly young people, although the occasional older patron or group will stop by.
The menu is a collection of teasflavored, unflavored, hot, cold, boba, traditionalsure to suit the palate. However, their strength seems to be the tea equivalent of the coffee shop mocha-frapa-choco-drinks with whipped cream on top. They also offer sweet snacks to go along with the tea.
But beware: if you order your drink to go but change your mind and stick around, they'll ask you to leave. Prices for to go drinks are different than if you're drinking there. So make that decision early.
Try one of the Chinese restaurants nearby (I'd suggest Tung Lai Shun just across the street next to the Hello-Kitty-themed store) and then wind down with a tea and grab some of the great loose-leaf tea before heading out.
Pros: good variety in tea selection
Cons: it's not pricey, but it's not cheap either
