Took a while to get reservations. After eating there, no wonder! Arrived early and sat at the bar. We are really picky on our wines and the bartender had great suggestions which we ended up with for dinner. Staff was excellent, friendly, very helpful. We had the Tuna Conserva Panzanella for starters (WOW), the Salsiccia Pizza, the Pasta Special with spring peas inside (very light)and a Chocolate Budino Tart recommended by our waitress (very light). Served as 3 courses shared by the two of us. Everything was amazing! When we got the bill, we could not believe how inexpensive for such great wine and food. Would definitely go back ...
Pros: Excellent food, excellent service
Cons: Never an open seat (except early at the bar)

My husband and I took a day trip to San Francisco and Luna Park came highly recommended as a local spot with great food. I expected it to be crowded but I guess we beat the crowd. The food and service was great. I like the nice quaint at home feeling of the place. Our food was served fast and I had the best peach mojito ever. My husband liked his fried egg sandwich with bacon, avocado, cheddar, and arugula on sourdough bread so much that he's trying to duplicate it. It was a great experience. I would do it again and I'll recommend it to everyone.

I am one of those people who had always boycotted expensive salon haircuts, since I figured with long, wavy hair it couldn't make much of a difference. Recently, I decided to donate my hair and made a dramatic change to short hair. After getting several referrals ( including one from a out-of-state hair product sales rep who visits hundreds of salons nation-wide!), I went in to see Nicole. She picked a hair style that worked for my lifestyle, and also looked great. Now I am converted! The salon has a great atmosphere- clean, professional, upscale but, down-to-earth. It is amazing how nice a good haircut can be. If you are looking for a change, Nicole is fantastic about making suggestions. You can schedule a consultation appointment with her to go over ideas, or just take the plunge to let her work her magic! Finding a great hairstylist you trust is kinda like finding a mechanic- it isn't easy to find one, and you really don't want to have to make too many mistakes trying to finding one that works for you. As vain as it may be- it feels really good to have a haircut you like :) So, I would strongly suggest seeing Nicole!

This restaurant specializes in Hunan cuisine and is located in Chinatown. The staff is very good about seating you right away and provide great service. Tea service and a soup course are standard with a meal. Portions are huge if you order a specific dish off of the menu because everything is served family style. I suggest going with a group of friends or coworkers and ordering a variety of dishes and then splitting them so you get to try some of everything and get some chow mien or fried rice or whatever you like as a base to go with the dishes. They have all of the favorite beef, chicken, pork, and veggie dishes and their seafood and duck dishes are very good also. We love to eat here for lunch anytime we are in the city.

We went here on a Thursday night around 9:30pm, which is half price Sangria night, FYI. Our waiter, Morty, chose some great options! We recommend the Fondue!!! The olives are mild but delicious. We also had the Sea Bass, Short Ribs and Sliders, all which were delicious, but the Sea Bass was our favorite. All the portions were great size and we were even too stuffed for dessert. I could see how it would be crowed and too noisy on the weekends, but the food definitely makes this place worth visiting. We will be back. PS? watch out for the fondue gas.
Pros: Great food, great portions, Sangria on Thursday
Cons: Parking, valet is is expensive

This was THE BEST hair cut and colour I have received from my long time hair dresser Anna. She had been working at an Aveda concept salon. The Aveda colour always faded fast and lost its sheen. She is using a new colour line at Bella Union and it is WONDERFUL. My colour is over a week old and the sheen is luxurious and the cut is perfect. The atmosphere at The Bella Union is friendly and up beat. Parking was very easy. If any one seeing this review was with Anna at Chakra, highly recommend you follow her to The Bella Union.
Pros: Parking is easy

great sushi but a bit on the pricey side. it's fun to go to with a great atmosphere for a small group or two. if for two, quite a romantic restaurant. the best though is still the sushi. they offer blowfish sushi when seasonal and although i haven't had the opportunity to try it, people say it's yummy. the monk fish liver is delicious. the drinks are fun and different.
