One way to survive in business is to fill a niche that no else does. Get Lost offers books, maps, and some other gear (like Eagle Creek backpacks) all related to traveling. Anyone with a case of the travel bug is going to go nuts in this place. They cover everything from the guides (Lonely Planet, Rough Guide, etc), to all the latest travel lit, photography books and more. They host readings of travel writers. Even if you could get some of these things a little cheaper elsewhere, this is one of those rare places that you can't help feeling enthusiastic to spend some money.

Get Lost Travel Bookstore has a lot going for it in this big citie full of big bookstores. They have a nice little niche, focusing only on exotic travel books. It is a small little shop, with a full range of travel books. I had really good customer service when I was there, I needed help searching for a book and someone was always willing to run around looking for it. This bookstore is good, because it allows you to open the travel books and look inside to make sure this is the kind you like, and that is what you miss out when you order online. Pretty fair pricing, and has big and small books and maps avilable for your need.
