We have been going to Izzy's yearly for some friends birthday(twins) for about 5 years. It is wonderful.It is a great occasion as we all have children and do not get to the city very often. Yes, I am now an "over the bridge and through the tunnel person."I always look forward to this occasion. It is too bad that the children at the front door are more interested in being "right" as opposed to accomidating. I am in the restraunt business myself and can tell the difference. The servers are wonderful and I know how hard it is to keep a good hostess. The money just isn't there. Too bad, it is the first and last impression for the restraunt. The service is lively (even witty), and reasonably attentive considering the level of activity at this restaurant. The Fillet Medallions are especially good, and the New York is thick and juicy. Try your steak "au pouvre", for an especially tasty treat. Try the cream spinach as a side, its the best I ever had. The wine list is good, but not fantastic ($10 corkage to BYOW). Deserts are so-so.
