Lombardi sports has a great variety of sporting goods, shoes, and clothing. I particularly enjoy browsing their sale running and athletic shoes for a good deal – although they sell some higher priced clothing, their shoes are generally a good deal! They are conveniently located in Russian hill on Polk Street and have a great upstairs with more biking/kayaking/camping/working out equipment than you could ever want.

I had heard many good things about Lombardi Sports, but when I shopped there, I experienced nothing but indifferent, and at times rude service. I had a hard time getting anyone to help try on running shoes and then the guys in the cycling department were plain rude. It wasn't even that busy. The store carries some great stuff, but it's not worth the hassle.

lombardi has a large selection of sports equipment. they have a great selection of all basic sports and a fairily good selection of the outdoor sports too. the climibing wall centered in the store is cool, have never tried it though myself. their prices are reasonable, but sometimes can get too much on the pricey side. the employees are friendly but dont always know too much about what theyr'e selling.
