San Francisco Dental staff were life-savers. I'm sure everyone can relate to my situation...
Background:
My closest buddy since I could ever remember asked me to be the best man of his wedding...his best man! So, my task was to make sure everything went perfectly on his special day. To relieve his wedding day jitters, I suggested that we catch up with some other friends and play a few games of basketball. Yes...you guessed it! One thing led to another...I trip...fall to the ground..hard..and realize that part of my front tooth had broken off. It was a very noticeable chip. My first thought was...how can I have a busted smile on my boy's special day! I immediately called San Francisco Dental, pleaded my case and was able to schedule an appointment with Dr. Marquis the same day.
Why I believe San Francisco Dental is amazing:
Try to imagine a 6'4 burly man looking franctic talking to a much, much shorter San Francisco Dental staff member who calmly reassured me that Dr. Marquis was aware of my circumstance (eg. me...best man in a wedding) and would be available shortly.
Without much of a wait, I was able to meet with Dr. Marquis and long story short...my tooth looked like new after she worked her dental magic.
The day or rather my smile was saved by San Francisco Dental. And, I am forever grateful because I will never have to look at the wedding photos in regret on my boy's special day.

I??ve been a returning customer to this inn every time I book a room for my family when they visit San Francisco. The d??cor of this place is very warm and relaxing, feeling more like a home than a hotel. Even the name feels like something comforting. Room service in immediate and the housekeeping keeps my room very clean. The service here is excellent and I??m dumbfounded how come this inn is not more famous and popular because in a word, it??s perfect.

This is a great YMCA. It??s really convenient to go to if you work in the outer-downtown area or civic center area it is in the tenderloin however, if you go there during the day it??s not really an issue. I like the range of equipment they have and the terms of membership I can usually stop in the middle of the day and hit a few of the machines. There is usually no waiting for the most popular machines so that makes my workout even better. Parking as always is a challenge in the civic center area so I tend to just walk their from work. They have great shower facilities and the equipment is pretty new and maintained regularly. Would highly recommend if you work in the civic center area.

I visited Daniel Marlay, the other day at Pets are Wonderful Support (PAWS) and learned a lot about this organization. Daniel works with the volunteers. Check out their website at: http://www.pawssf.org/
If you're interested in helping PAWS clients stay with their beloved animal companions, you should think about investing the time and effort to help. The office I went to were located at 645 Harrison St Suite 100.
They have a pet "food bank" there that needs volunteer help from time to time.

I help organize groups that are interested in volunteering their time while in San Francisco. Some of these groups are from various schools or churches throughout the United States. The San Francisco Food Bank http://www.sffoodbank.org/ always needs volunteers to sort, package and distribute food for hungry people. I would suggest to anybody that is interested to visit them at 900 Pennsylvania Avenue and speak to Sam Marcum or Lisa Start or ask for their email addresses.
They do amazing work and I suggest you help them out!

When I was little, JF & CS really helped me and my family. I was a hard child and my parents sought the counseling services at the Jewish Family & Children's Services and the nice counselors there helped us out and put me on a right path. I thank them now for what they have done with us then!

Kind of like the Wal Mart of thrift stores, minus the evil part. This place is huge, filled with all manner of crap. But, if you’re willing to spend the time, gems abound. There’s a few clothing racks that say “better clothes” or something like that, and that’s where I’ve found some sweet suits and vintage things. But don't overlook the regular racks either because you never know. Other reasons to check the place out are shoes, records, broken appliances, and furniture. Everything is cheap cheap cheap. A nice blend of actual lower income folks and trendies all shopping together in harmony...

Some wonderful shops to walk around and take in the elements of the City.
Artistic, toy shops and clothing shops, restaurants and all with a beautiful park near by to have a picnic, fly a kite or watch volley ball.
Careful you might get yourself involved in a game of volley ball. It definitely felt like a college hang out. I don't know why, perhaps the fog of my age made be see it that way.
What I really remember best about this center is the expansive feeling you have when you walk around and take it all in stride.
