This is the best place for authentic chinese food. Everything I've had has been wonderful - the seafood is very fresh, as are the vegetables and they have a wide variety of choices on the menu to suit everyone. I love the salt & pepper calamari as well as the salt & pepper crab (which has a batter over the shell and is a bit spicy - EXCELLENT!) The owner & the staff are very friendly, and the restaurant is clean. I recently moved to Palo Alto and if my family calls to tell me they're going to Yuet Lee, I will drive up to SF to meet them for dinner!
Pros: affordable, excellent taste
Cons: parking

I've been to Yabbie's often before, and have always loved the consistently good food, but recently the great ambiance has made it a regular haunt- mood lighting and music make it the spot to be! Loved the wine flights too, well selected and reasonably priced, and served by informed (and attractive) staff.
Pros: wine list and Flights, freshest seafood in town

ok, so when they first opened-up, they had a sign that said "due to the crab yada, yada issue, our all you can eat special is cancelled". somehting like that. i thought it was pretty uncool to air out the dirty laundry, so i never bothered to go there.
this friday, my husband passed by and he said that they have lobster rolls, so we should try it. i'll be darned! the food was excellent. a bit pricey, but absolutely excellent.

We went here for breakfast after walking past the day before and thinking "that looks better than what we just ate". It wasn't better but it was slightly lower in price and better service. We had an average breakfast but nothing tasted amazing or was overly special. Lots of options on the menu but adding extras to the meal adds up quickly. For example, adding 1 medium sized pancake with bananas in it cost just under $5.00. The menu consists of American and Chinese options. The service was friendly and quick for the most part. The restaurant is nothing I would run back to but definitely a safe bet if I want an everyday type of breakfast.
Pros: Service was fast and friendly, food was ok
Cons: a little pricy

Before coming here I had read some bad reviews of the restaurant, especially ones attacking the character of the restaurant more than the food. I'm glad we decided to make our own conclusions and have dinner here. I was so pleasantly surprised. Three of us split 5 dishes and all were soooo good. We had the civeche, calamari, fish tacos, some deep friend pickles, and fries. The ceviche was okay, but I think thats more because I'm peruvian so I have high standards for my ceviche. The deep friend pickles [forgot name] and calamari was AMAZING!!! we didn't have desert because we decided to go to the bakery next door for treats. Our server was so nice and adorable, I wanted to pinch her cheeks! The place is small, but why let the trendy atmosphere and close quarters ruin an exciting and delicious meal?

I haven't ever liked seafood - but I was told by a friend to try this place out. He told me that even if I didn't like seafood I should try it at this place.
They had a great selection of dishes. The server we had was very knowledgable. He was able to describe what each dish tasted like to help me decide.
I do however recommend you call ahead to make reservations. We did not and we had to wait quite a while.

We had our wedding at Waterfront on June 18, 2007. Not only the restaurant has a spectacular view, the personnel are all so helpful and understanding. We had only 4 months to plan for this important event, with Al (THE OWNER) and Cheryl (THE EVENT PLANNER)'s help, it went by like a breeze. We could not say enough about this restaurant. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to all of our friends.

2000 words would just scratch the surface for describing this jewel! It has taken over 1st place in our San Francisco dining list for future visits. Why you ask? Will it suffice to say the entire experience with this establishment made it a "perfect event"; reservations delivered a water view table, service was impeccable with no sense of urgency, cocktails were expertly mastered, an appetizer of calamari was exquisite with the spicy aioli, entrees of cioppino (the best my husband has ever had he says) & grilled scallop/shrimp were decidedly delectable, sides of crab mashed potatoes & grilled asparagus were perfect accompaniments, and the defining dessert of sublime chocolate mousse cake delivered to us gratis celebrating our 39th anniversary. Could we ask for more? We think not & now you know why this special place has risen to the top of our "exclusive" dining list. We travel the world searching out such experiences & we have had one here!
Pros: everything, service especially & ambiance to spare, food flavors abound
Cons: none found
