Located in the mission district, artist-xchange is a great store committed to assisting emerging artists, like one of my favorites, Joanna Mendicino. They also have an online store that you can visit while not in the San Francisco area. With several artist openings throughout the year, it's obviously that the owners are a social bunch, and their love of music is evident in that they have DJs are some of their events - fun!
