Joe's Cable Car has been serving up burgers, shakes, fries and other such related fare since the sixties. Don't be dissuaded by the shiny, glowing neon cable car and the touristy looking kitch inside… it's the real deal. And oh man, whataburger! One of the best in the city. The vegetarian sandwich is also amazing… though I think that might have something to do with the fact that they cook it on the same grill as everything else and it's slathered in hamburger greese. Yum.

Joe’s Cable Car has the best old fashion burgers in the city! They have been in the same spot since 1965. I went to school around their so I have been going there since middle school. If you have not been to Joe’s the closest thing I could think of would be Fuddruckers. But in my opinion Fuddruckers has nothing on Joe’s Cable Car. The burgers at Joe’s are so much better because the meat just tastes better, much juicier and fresh.
