Although this restaurant tends to get overshadowed by it's neighbor, Lulu, it's a very good establishment in it's own right. One of the many highlights are the great cocktails, which is always a good way to start a meal. The food is innovative, fresh, and well presented. Service was great and the layout of the interior makes some tables somewhat private. Save room for dessert as well. I'd like to site at the long bar (kind of like a sushi bar) one of these days. Give this place a shot, especially if Lulu is crowded.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco. My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surpised to get reservations on a Friday (made res same day on Opentable.com). The host seated us right away and the restaurant was full, but not too loud. We had an excellent hamachi dish as an appetizer and the side dish of schezuan eggplant leaves me craving for it even now. If you want to have a nice dinner that doesn't dent your wallet too much - I would highly recommend Azie.
