They're not lying with they said Great India. It is really great food. They used to have flyers with buy one get one free but now they changed owners and it's buy one get half off. As soon as you sit down they bring you free papadum with 4 sauces that are excellent. Great veggie dishes, dum aloo is very good. Very laid back restaurant and buffet is really good too. They have mango ice cream that really soothes your palat after a spicy meal. Highly recommended for some good Indian food in a very hospitable restaurant. Nice, nice owners. Pros: good food, inexpensive, good parking Cons: none

I've explored many of the Richmond Indian food restaurants, and this is the one I always come back to. Their food is excellently made and totally affordable. Everything is fresh, especially the papadan and the nan. They cater to your level of spiciness and the service is sweet and attentive. PROS: freshness, price CONS: deliveries can take awhile

I've staked out a lot of Indian restaurants in the Richmond, and this one's my favorite. Cheap prices (rice included in meal), excellent food (the naan is fresh and soft) and the service is friendly. They're careful to inquire about all your tastes: level of spicyness, side orders, glass with your beer? It's true, deliveries take awhile - but there are no pretenses; they tell you to expect your food in 45 minutes when you call in. Pros: service, food

I ordered at 9pm, waited until 11pm, and then got a call from a Mongolian driver whose English was impossible to understand that he was lost. I then called the restaurant, and the guy started yelling at me. He said, I am going to cancel your order, this is too much trouble for a 10$ order. GREAT! AT 11pm, after waiting for 2 hours, he has the guts to tell me that my order is too much trouble. I strongly recommend you NEVER order from this restaurant, although, in the Pacific Heights / Fillmore / Presidio area, they are one of the heaviest advertisers for delivery of Indian food. I have ALWAYS had trouble with their delivery drivers. They are almost always new, almost always don't speak English, don't know San Francisco, which tells me that they have horrible pay structures ...

Great India is a cozy restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Krishna the waiter is so attentive and makes you feel right at home. The service is outstanding and the food is very good. I like the Prawn Masala and their rice is perfect. Complimentary papadum with four sauces and prices are extremely reasonable. They also have a very good buffet. The food and service is always consistent. Great service, great food...=Great India!

Incredible tandoori chicken, great raita and naan...I love everything here. And they're cheap...the buffet costs less than $7. Go here or get food delivered; you wont be dissapointed!!!
