This isn't my favorite Indian/Pakistani restaurant in the city, but I'll go to it if I'm in the area and don't feel like heading to the Tenderloin. Like other cheaper Indian places, the style is self service where you order at the counter and pay up front, then pick up your own meal, cutlery, water, etc. I like their chicken tikka masala and they also have nicely made naan, cheap too for only $1 per piece. I didn't like their other curries as much.

Naan and Curry on Irving is the perfect place for Naan and Curry, of course. This restraunt is known for its orange curry. The food is rather filling and tasty. The potatoe naan is especially tasty when it is served hot. By the way, there is also free milk tea for everyone. Beware of how you smell after though. =)

Greasy, mushy food guaranteed to give you heartburn. All dishes that we have tried so far have tasted the same, with flavors dominated by burnt oil. Avoid if you enjoy good quality Indian food.

Naan n Curry is the best food for your money in San Francisco. If you go with a group of people, you'll easily get out for less than $10 per person, and your stomach will be happy.
Make sure you order plenty of Naan (bread). At about $1 per huge slice, it will fill you up.
Avoid going duirng peak dinner hours, as the tables fill up quickly and parking is often difficult to find in the area.

This is a popular place for Indian food because the prices are low and the food is exceptional. The decor and the service, well you don't come here for that.
This place almost always has a line out the door, especially on weekends. Great place to go out with friends and eat family style.
Order at the counter, grab a number and find an empty table. Grab your own water pitcher, glasses, and utensils and wait for the food to be delivered.
Parking near Irving is really hard to find.

One of the more authentic Pakistani restaurants in the bay area. Very spicy food. Better bring your tums for after. I love spicy food, and this place delivers. But beware that you will come out smelling like curry as their ventilation is not the best. Good food, cheap price, and funky atmosphere. We go there at least once a week for our spice fix. My in-laws love the place too.
