The Metreon could best be described as a well-heeled mall, catering to the tastes of the moderately affluent. The food court follows suit with some very decent to incredible eateries such as Sanraku. More of a miniature restaurant than a food court stop, Sanraku's sushi selection was varied and fresh, with hearty bento boxes for lunch. I loved it and would gladly come again!

My wife and I used to love the metroen, but alas it went bad. I believe the cinema is in bancruptcy, so its not well-maintained. But Sanraku rules! We've eaten there 20+ times. Not every experience was great, but we are highly satisfied most of the time. We've gotten to know the staff, and they're a delight. We have a frequent diners card, and almost every time we eat there, they mail us a $10 Gift certificate... very cool. I love Sanraku Metreon. Pros: great food, great prices, nice staff

I went to Sanraku two days ago, I was very impressed. I had sushi that was one of the best I ever had and some special dish that sushi chef made for me was fabulous. Presentation was beautiful and taste was great. Service was very friendly and nice. Actually, I didn't expect I could have these wonderful meal at Metreon, you should try it one day.

Being son of Japanese, I've had many opportunities to eat real-deal Japanese food -- in the US, in Japan and specially at home, where the best Japanese chef in the whole world lives! And if I say that Sanraku@Metreon has a truly great sushi and combos, a great ambience with a great price, trust me! I'm particularly a fan of the very nice sushi chefs and waiters/waitresses that give the place the artistic extra point for me to pick them as my best choice in SF. Perfect before or after a movie at the Metreon! Pros: sushi bar ambience, menu variety, movie theaters

After enjoying the food here (it's close to work) several times, I'd heard about the bad service but never noticed much, until I took an out-of-town couple here, bought TONS of food, Sapporo and sake -- then was asked to move to accomodate other diners. Shocked, I obliged. Now, I'd say, "I'm not finished." Won't EVER go back there again. Pros: fresh sushi Cons: rude, pushy, inconsiderate
