There are only two things I have ever ordered at Hawaiian Drive-In, chicken katsu and chicken barbecue. Whenever I am in the mood for Hawaiian and in San Francisco, I always go here. For about six dollars I can get the regular sized meal, which includes lots of chicken katsu or Hawaiian barbecue chicken, two large scoops of steamed rice, and a large scoop of macaroni salad. And if I am not too hungry I could get the mini size instead which gives less chicken and one scoop of rice instead of two.

A combo plate consists of steamed rice, beef, pork, and/or chicken, and macrioni and lettuce. I come here all the time when I do not have time to cook. The is the only place where you can get that great taste that no one else has!

The food here is wonderful considering the cheap prices. It is very easy to get a good filling meal for less than $5. The mini plates are an absolute steal. On occasion the chicken katsu can be but 80% of the time it is just right. A hearty recommendation goes out to the Loco Moco dish, it may be a heart buster but then its a dish to literally die for.
