If you are looking for a great steak in SF than you really need to include Morton??s on your list of restaurants to got to. I found the service to be very good and the wait staff to be very friendly and really attentive. We take clients to Morton??s to cap off their stay in SF I have taken international clients as well as domestic clients and to a person no one has ever been disappointed with the services or food. My favorite is the porterhouse it is large and really done well. The location is also very good, it??s down town so there is no problem to get a cab or if you are diving you can park in one of the lot??s near by. Being downtown you are in the middle of the action so after your meal you can walk over to see a show or just stroll around Union Square. I have tried other steak or ??beef?? centric restaurants in SF but I have to ay Morton??s is my favorite. They are tops in service, quality of food and d??cor. PROS: Great Food and Service CONS: can be expensive

I ate at this restaurant for the first time last night. We did not have a reservation yet they were happy to help us and seated us right away. At first my boyfriend and I weren't so sure about eating there, mainly because we're young and look even younger, so because of that, we don't get the best service at all restaurants. But our waitress was so nice and helpful with everything. The food and the wine was wonderful. I highly recommend this place for the young and old. I loved the atmosphere as well. If you are planning on shopping in the city that day - head over and end it with a dinner there! Pros: Service, Food, Location Cons: None

We have dined at Morton's on a couple of occasions and both times the steaks and service were excellent! The Morton's salad and crab cakes were very good and the Ribeye was excellent, as was the Filet. The Friday night Prime Rib cut ($30) was huge and delicious! It's true that the prices are on the high side, but for a special occasion it's one of our favorite steak places in the City! Pros: Prime Rib, Steaks, Service Cons: Parking (Union Sq), Pricey

I heard from my friends that I would have the best steak in the city but was bitterly disappointed. We went with a group of 10 friends. I ordered a medium-rare New York steak but what I got was some totally overcooked piece of meat that did not have the faintest tint of pink inside. When I finally decided to complain to the waiter, four more friends on my table complained about about their steaks, too. All steaks more than overcooked. I am not sure whether they just had a bad night in that restaurant but if the only dish if serve is steak and they mess that one up, that is really bad. Cons: , service, side dishes

We were disappointed to learn they ran out of prime rib and it was only 7 PM. Steaks (rib eye and porterhousewere) satisfying and cooked as ordered but flavor not particularly unique - didn't exactly dance on my tongue. Atmosphere pleasant but a bit cramped. Service friendly bordering on condescending, perhaps they need to ease off on the sales pitch and food display - this is S.F. and most people know what asparagus looks like. Everything is a la carte but side dishes are big enough to share - as simple and honest as it was I was particularly impressed with the mashed potatoes. Wine list blew my mind, I thought the prices were misprints. Nice place, certainly worth trying, but for the money I prefer the food and ambiance at Harris'. Pros: Quality steaks, Good location Cons: Out of prime rib, Annoying sales pitch, Wine list - OUCH!

Appetizer is pretty good. The steak is good, but not great. Side dish should be avoided. Desert is awesome. I would recommend trying something else before going to Morton's.
