The decor is very nice...the wine pretty good as well, but time we went for a birthday, our waiter seemed irritated with our table..probably because we were a party of 10?? Also, they need a bigger variety on their menu..only one chicken dish and not much for a vegan if they want to go and try your food.
Pros: wine
Cons: service, parking

I can't really say anything bad about the food, but we didn't come away doing cartwheels. There were not many unusual items on the menu and our server, while professional, rarely smiled. We shared the sardine appetizer, which came on top of a wonderful frisee salad. I ordered the lemon pasta with petrale sole. The fish was tender and the pasta al dente. Of the desserts, try the olive oil cake, which is really moist and served with a great zabaglione sauce. The current risotto tart was a little more unusual and also pretty good. Again, pretty standard fare and pretty good food but nothing to venture out for if you're not in the neighborhood.

I really hate to give a negative review. BUT Incanto just doesnt live up to its gorgeous interior. Appetizerz like tomatos and buffalo mozzarella were boring at best and the roast chicken was weakly spiced and dry.
If your going to do this kind of food in SF you have to try lots harder. Dessert was decent but again just standard. If you want good italian in Noe Valley got to Bacco.
Service started out good but went downhill quickly. The wine list is nice but insultingly overpriced.
Pros: location, nice interior
Cons: food is boring, overpriced

Read the positive review in Chronicle, and as I am a Noe Valley resident, I decided to give it a try. Not impressed..seem to have paid more attention to exterior and interior structural improvements than getting food right.
Had an average appetizer, decent bottle of wine for 50 bucks, and for the main course I had a slab of salmon adequately done and my girlfriend has penne, which was prepared unimaginatively and undercooked. Well undercooked.
Would have done better saving a few bucks on the stone work on outside of place and hiring a Sunday night chef who cooked do pasta. It is supposed to be an Italian restaurant, after all. More Noe valley hyped semi-crap
Pros: environment, neighborhood
Cons: food

Incanto is my favorite new restaurant in years. The owner/host is gracious and friendly. Every dish I've tried in my two visits has been flawless. The menu changes frequently, and everything tastes fresh and exciting. The simple dish of penne pasta with tomatos and cheese melted on top was so good that I was still thinking about it days later. The ribeye steak, which appears to be a regular item, was done to perfection. The wine list is first-rate, and the staff helps with selections. My only small complaint is that the menu on any given evening is not particularly large. But there's plenty to tempt you, so that's not a big worry. Go and enjoy this place before it's overrun.
Pros: Menu Changes Often, Friendly Service, Good Acoustics

Good food, knowledgable staff, great ambience, but it was a bit steep for the portions. I don't mind spending a ton of dough if I leave full, but I had to get a Krispy Kreme from the liquor store across the street for desert. The food was good, I had the pearl pasta in a nice light sauce, and my girlfriend had the seabass, but I don;t feel we got a value. The spinach salad is excellent and the antipasto plate was delicious, but I left feeling a bit light in the stomach and the wallet. Great wine selection too.
Pros: Ambience, Staff, Wine List
Cons: Expensive, Small Portions

The food tasted good, but they offered nothing out of the ordinary, and not enough dishes on the menu. Granted I have only eaten there once, but I just wasn't inspired to return. The barren walls and minimal decor makes for a loud, cavernous atmosphere. If you do check it out, ask for a reservation in the quiet, cozy room in the back. It's closer to the toilets, but seemed like a much better place to be seated. Oh, and the service was sloth-like.
Pros: Fresh food, Friendly owners
Cons: No parking, Loud, Few choices
