What did I learn after stopping by Menkee Wonton? Stick with the basics... Go for the 'Wonton & Noodle Soup' with an order of 'Mongolian Chicken Fried Flat Noodle'. The later may be a bit salty and oily, but its yummie.
Downside - Very limited choice on dessert & beverages. Seriously, with four beverages and one dessert to choose from, it made me want to start thinking about jumping to Cold Stone right after the meal. But, the one dessert - Turtle Pudding - sounded unique enough for a try. Not bad. It was weirdly soothing after a salty meal.

Menkee is the perfect place if you are on the go and craving for wontons. They offer a wonton noodle soup for less than two dollars and they even have 10% off all take-out orders. The place looks a bit dirty but for that price I can't complain. There needs to be more restraunts that are as cheap as this.

This place specializes in chiu-chow style cooking. We usually order some small dishes such as the salt-n-pepper, small, white fish and the stuffed combo (egglplant, tofu, bell pepper) and have that with porridge. I personally, prefer the regular, Cantonese style porridge. The chiu-chow style porridge is just cooked rice served in hot water.
Overall, the prices are rock bottom for tasty chinese food - highly recommended.
Pros: good food, cheap prices, specialty dishes
Cons: , ambience
