This place is great for comfort food. The entrees are great. And so are the sides. The second time I visited Homes, I just ordered sides and shared with my friend. It worked out perfect. It gets a bit loud but the food is delicious. I hear there is nice outdoor seating in the back with heat lamps but I didn't get a chance to go out there. Definitely would visit Homes again!

I know Home in the Castro gets mixed reviews, but I'm a fan of this place. I came in with a group of 10 people on a Friday night, no reservations (I know, spur of the moment) and they were able to seat us in 10 minutes! Very accommodating manager. But their yummy mac and cheese side dish is what really sealed the deal. Great meatloaf and pot roast as well. I didn't like the salmon dish as much, especially for the price. Can't wait to try their brunch, as I've heard to do a nice one.
