This is a restaurant that is located by the tenderloin, so expect that there is no parking. The place is clean with few chairs and tables. So, you have to wait to be seated. They get full mostly on lunch and dinner almost everyday. So take to go instead and you can order early too. My favorite is their bbq duck with vegetables, beef noodles and fried banana with ice cream as a dessert. Service is efficient and the price is reasonable. By the way, it is halal. If their bbq beef is not hard like a rock, I would give them 4 stars.

There seem to be many new halal (meat slaughtered according to Islamic laws...muslim equivalent of Jewish 'kosher') restaurants popping up all over the city, and this is one I just discovered this week.
There were SO many things that you could order from the menu that it was hard to choose. Thankfully, we had somebody with us who'd already been to Bang San before and recommended some of their favorite dishes.
I ordered the fried chicken over fried rice. Now, just that phrase makes my mouth water...whoever invented this wonderful dish deserves a pat on the back.
DANG. The chicken was just crispy and right, and the fried rice had just the right amount of onions and eggs. With just a little sweet and sour sauce on top, this combination of flavors was EXCELLENT.
I'm DEFINITELY coming back to this restaurant again. It's right next door to Chutney, one of my other favorite restaurants in the city, so that's going to be hard choosing between the two next time :). Try Bang San Thai, it's delicious.
